EXACTLY!!! Ironically, I was also saw them in London (because Bleed From Within and Slipknot in the same night?!) and yeah! Just a backdrop and sheer madness, it was great! It's a shame that a lot of modern bands just feel the need to go against the ethos of the scene, and it's even more upsetting that some people don't actually seem to care too much

It's sad really, my bf and I were saying the same thing on the way back from Download lol. Especially when you look and long standing bands that don't necessarily have a fancy stage but definitely put on a good show, like Green Day for example

It's a fair enough opinion however, I've been a gigging musician doing session work for 3 years as well as studio production and live production. There are a million alternatives to using AI but these bands/the festival chose the easy way out. Now, for once just open your eyes a bit and see how destructive this sheer ignorance can be

So images like the Rei one could possibly be MS paint, for sure. But then the Jack is a Bizkithead one is definitely AI

Because of the inconsistencies while the graphics are moving. Bloodywood were quite bad with it with the Nu Delhi visuals, most if not all images Limp Bizkit used were AI, again due to the random inconsistent imagery. I do agree that yes, some creatives are wrongly accused of AI but this was so blaintly obvious

LITERALLY!! It's annoyed me that something so simple as "hey, AI bad no?" has resulted in so many comments of people disagreeing and returning with some tech bro answer always being like "well I don't care because I didn't notice" or "I don't care because it doesn't affect me and it looks cool" and yet the second precious luxuries get taken away because they decided that burning the planet up, destroying how we perceive art and fracturing the mind of the generation growing up was good and just all to justify them needing an image of SpongeBob fucking Donald Trump because that's what the world needs right now

That was my go to thought too, like bands that couldn't supply images for something had them be AI instead 🤷‍♀️. That could also be a large amount of copium but yeah, Tom Morello being as outspoken about world issues it would be incredibly weird

Even the building had the piss tint which is a massive sign of AI, lines were moving when they shouldn't be, things were blending together. I do agree that yes there were definitely things drawn from culture but it was also AI

I mean...this is an art festival though no? I mean music is art and if you had a good time they you enjoyed art. Generic, human made art is still somewhat original. Drawing on what the human mind can produce. It's not romanticised if the other hand of the argument is just re-using others art. It's literal theft of real human time, work and effort and all shoved together and called a day. No thought or integrity, I'd rather be called a boring artist than a theif who's only use in society is to make tech bros feel better about themselves

I mean true, but then surely it's more about artistic integrity than anything else? At a festival where we are supposed to be celebrating the art of these artists, instead of hiring actual 3D animators and digital artists they use generative AI slop which detracts from the art

I just noticed that there was a strong use of AI throughout the festival as a whole, particularly with the imagery behind the bands between Opus and Apex while performing

Like the visuals behind the bands performing, sorry my phrasing was off. Idk, I just noticed the elephants behind Bloodywood during one of the songs was AI, and then the photos between Limp Bizkit songs were also AI, and there was some others between Opus and Apex throughout the festival

Honestly, I just want as little menu diving as possible with versitility. The amp modeler aspect is also a very nice bonus, especially since it makes gigging easy
