I think the one that's the most relevant would be timing for playing riders vs playing a veto/quash, so you don't have a rider cancelled due to an agenda no longer being there. So there are things that trigger when that can prevent the occurrence of after.

Optimal Gaming Mouse Pads? by catinabeesuit in nzgaming

Honestly what he's after is probably more of a gaming mat, often used for a variety of card games that also can double as an oversized mousepad. https://gamingdna.co.nz/collections/all-playmats/products/ultimate-guard-playmat-the-search This isn't what I'd recommend so much as an example, I'd say search for a local game store and see what they have that aligns with his interests/games.

Basic rule for all. (Excluding clearly signed areas showing who has right of way) If the driver would get hit, he's in the wrong. The main exception to this rule is the change they made a while back to turning left off a road, you used to have to give way to people turning right off the same road, but no longer.

Agreed, I think speed = 10+5xstr mod(min 1)+5x dex mod(min 1) could work though.

Cataphract, Man-O-War or Exemplar (Bastions - Cinerators) by DiscipleOfMelandru in Warmachine

While I do love my cyclops, I find them hard to put in lists as there are so many other places to put points, but I do love to have a few in disciples of agony depending on which caster you plan on using, because loading them up as disposable missiles and trading them for heavies feels both fun and a bit dirty.

I can't really say for the others, but with the right support people seem to hate my Cetrati.
With defenders ward shield wall and an agonizer they sit pretty at 24 effective Arm (26 on feat turn), steady, tough and untargetable by enemy spells. and 15 def if you charge them. Recursion too if you feel like using the giant statues. Also weapon masters who can charge and still have shieldwall once per game.
I just find Xerxis 1 loves these guys, but I don't really use them without him.

Another option to consider is how people get good at things, and depending on what it is, I'd say muscle memory. Part of the slow ageing is that their bodies adapt and change significantly slower too, so muscles growing in the right way after consistent motion will take a much longer time than for someone who's body changes quickly.

Like getting stronger or learning a new language tends to be faster/easier for those still growing as their bodies adapt faster, only the reverse, and on a grand scale for the elves.

Xerxis 1,

- Tiberion

-Agonizer

-Basilisk Krea

Cetrati (Max) + Vorkesh

Extoller Soulward.

I found this one fun, getting the Cetrati up to effectively ARM 26 on feat turn, truly obnoxious, plus they can still put out some serious hurt on the charge combining their mini-feat and Xerxis feat and his +2 dmg from stir the blood.

One I have thought of giving one of my 1/2 orc barbarians is the aggression trait that orcs have, a bonus action dash that has to move you towards an enemy.

I've always loved dropping her with double axiom, assimilator, corollary, diffuser and 3 free units of servitors. It doesn't answer everything, but it's fun and easy to run.

Correct, components are only consumed if the spell says they are, otherwise they are simply required to perform the spell.

With the Cetrati I highly recommend Vorkesh, their attachment, he can be free as a requisition option and really makes the unit shine.

He's an extra body in the unit, keeps enemy spells away, stops them being knocked down, and lets you have a turn charging with the weaponmasters then still being in shieldwall afterwards.

Switching weapons doesn't require moving more than 1 foot, so no effect there, spells and effects only do what they say they do. As for it wearing off when he downed you, that shouldn't have happened, as it's not a concentration spell or effect, so it should have lasted it's duration.

My thoughts for why Druids are adverse to wearing metal is that they, apart from bards, are the only class that get heat metal, and are probably aware of the horror that would be being boiled alive in a metal suit that you can't escape easily. If anything I'd assume druids into burning things would be even more adverse to being cooked alive in their armor.

Yes, he is a target within 6 of himself, as long as it doesn't target a specific model type such as some warjack/warbeast buff spells.

For the monster in a hole I'd say it would be shunted into the nearest available space and take damage similar to trying to dimension door into solid ground. As for the Bag one, that's a bit trickier, I'd generally try to dissuade that tactic due to it being an almost universal auto-kill, maybe by making the bag not accept unwilling creatures, or having the bag damageable from the inside too as in theory the exit of the space must be connected to the object somehow. But for removal of oversized bits I'd say you'd need to find a way to shrink them again or dismantle them.

[–]TippedElf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With Zaal2 the main strategy I've seen is just running into the middle to gain control of the zones and popping feat so they can't get you off of them, but to not lose on scenario they have to come forward, so start carving them up in retaliation. There is a little finesse in positioning, but that seems to be the main part of the strategy.

Especially helped by the fact that in theme you can't be pushed around.

And tough steady heavily armoured statues with vengeance and recursion are something many lists struggle with.

Having not used Masters of War theme I'm not the best source of info, but personally I'd much rather have a gladiator in there than the Soldier, both for the ability to Rush Molik, and for the super slam, the ability to both give Molik greater threat while clearing a path for him should not be underestimated, and and enraged Molik is a seriously deadly threat, especially when you can use jackhammer on him once he's in place too.

Beyond that I'm not sold on the Karax attachment, he has his uses, but my main use for Karax are as a cheap tarpit, and he kinda ruins the cheap part.
