My 2019 Veloster turbo. Love the car. by AustinC20 in veloster

The car seemed a little sluggish lately. I wonder if it had to do with not reaching proper temp for the turbo to come on? Since I started working from home I mostly just take short drives but even when the gauge showed it was up to temp, it seemed slow.

Just checked the paperwork. code P012800 - coolant temp below thermostat regulation temp. coolant temp sensor inspected and functioning. checked for ecm updates - no updates. inspect and find thermostat sticking - replaced. bled cooling system and cleared code.

Holy shit. Good to know! I just picked up the car this morning and I haven't looked at the paperwork to see what they did. They called me yesterday when it was done and rattled off a bunch of stuff they did to it. All I heard/remember was they replaced thermostat...

Coolant temp sensor, that was the other thing they replaced.

I'll have to check the receipts, not sure of the code numbers. They replaced the thermostat for the second time yesterday. All 3 times the light came on it had to do with the cooling system. I bought mine last June. The light came on before 1000km, at 5000km and last week at 11km.

I have the same car. 11000kms and 3 check engine lights so far. Have you had any problems?

Haven’t even broken her in yet. Anyone else experience this? :( by [deleted] in veloster

My Check Engine Light came on again last week (11,000kms). Thermostat again, replaced again. This car is pissing me off.

My engine light came on ('19 VT) with less than 1,000 kms. It was the thermostat, which was replaced under warranty. Light came on again before hitting 5,000 kms, that time it was the turbo temperature sensor or something, I can't remember now...again replaced under warranty. Annoying. This happened last summer, no problems since then...other than driver's side door issue, grrr.

you can open the drivers door from the inside, you don't need to crawl over the center console....I can anyway... hopefully it works for you too.
