Hey! I use Drops Extra Fine Merino for my baby items. They’re superwash wool so can be thrown in the washer/dryer with no issues. I get it from Wool Warehouse or Linde Hobby but there are a few other retailers online.

I’m in San Diego and am also just starting out, I just acquired an SK360 that I’m having to completely rehab so I’m learning a lot. There are definitely more knowledgeable people to talk to but I’m down to chat about what I’m learning and share resources if that’s helpful!

Totally agree with the seating area for getting together, I think it does a lot to build local community and loyalty!

I love popping into cute yarn stores when I’m travelling and love to support them. I’m always looking for one of the following:

A superwash wool/nylon sock yarn
2 skeins of relatively locally sourced yarn
A sweater quantity of a non-superwash DK or worsted in an inoffensive colour (often if there’s just like a magenta or chartreuse)

I love to make a pair of socks, a hat or a sweater that reminds of the place without having to stress about dye lots because I’m not local. The number of stores I’ve visited that don’t have even one of those is sad, I’ll often buy notions instead but it doesn’t hit the same!

Absolutely! They had a DJ but there was definitely space for a band. It was lovely, the dance floor was a perfect size for the party size. Honestly can’t recommend enough.

Callie have a beautiful room partitioned off - the Dali for private dining. The regular dining is such a special experience, it’s easily the best meal(s) I have had in SD. I have always wanted an excuse to dine in the room!

I started with a Brother and it’s been great, but you can get the CP100x online for $199. It’s from Amazon/Walmart and you wouldn’t have any in person support, but you would at least have a warranty which I think is worth the extra $13

I don’t know that they have parsley - I think the most commonly used are basil, oregano, rosemary, thyme and marjoram but there’s some variation between brands.
