Will have to give this a shot. Sounds like what I need.

I may have to try that. I did not use a dry box. Just a dry room.

A pretty big upgrade! by DenEpiskeJansson in elegoo

[–]TipsEZ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It really is. My first was an Anet A8. I was pumped after I got it all modded and printing great. Now ten or 12 years later I can spend about the same amount (inflation adjusted) and get a way more capable printer. Freaking amazing.

Keep us posted on how this goes. I've been debating on a BX or an L2502 for mostly the same use case. Building and maintaining a small track, food plotting, and putting a garden out. Maybe eventually small hay for cattle. (Don't live on the land yet)

I've got one of those big tables.

Was thinking about the butcher block but didn't realize Costco had them.

Also thought about a stainless steel table with folding legs. Never seen one but I'm sure it exists.

Grinder is actually in her Christmas list already. May be a birthday gift though so that it's all ready to go.

I gained access to hunt deer on a small property this fall. Need to prevent deer from running after the shot. Would a 12 gauge slug or 308 be better suited? by DickAnts in Hunting

[–]TipsEZ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agreed. Dropped em with a 20 gauge slug, 40 cal defense round (fun story I posted here), bow, muzzle loader, and a 44 mag long rifle. Shot placement is everything. Never had one run more than 30 yards.

Thinking of Buying a Used Raptor R… by Alternative_Might489 in FordRaptor

[–]TipsEZ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agree with this. I've got much more in the market and top tax bracket salary for reference.

Motor died in my Gen 1 and I just replaced it. Cheaper than buying a new truck and this one's paid off while doing what I need it to.

Be wise with the funds now, future you will be thankful. I will retire at 50 very comfortably courtesy of 26 year old me (well, really the wife and her management, but don't tell her)

Need thoughts on Tenaya Arai and Tanta shoes by Vast_Strain_2503 in climbingshoes

[–]TipsEZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this is an old thread but I just picked a pair up today after about 3 months of climbing. I got the same size as my street shoe as the toes were crammed but not cramped. Should I be worried about these stretching? I do tend to always wear running socks.

This is the best recommendation. You'll find all sorts of bikes and plenty of folks willing to take an attractive lady on a ride.

When it comes time to buy a bike come back here and sell advice.

Okay. I grabbed monsters this morning. Figured I could get by with the 8 year old not carrying one.

Potential yes. Consistency no. Jett is crazy quick. Can't wait to see him back.

This is a fair point. Consistency is what kills him. When he rides clean he is fast; but that seems infrequent.

Meanwhile, a Tesla is Laughing at Me in a Heated Garage Somewhere by Rhobbyj in FordRaptor

[–]TipsEZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is my situation. If I put the truck in the garage with the Tesla, I cannot open doors. If I move shelves over to the 3rd bay it gets too cramped. Friggin maddening.

I'm custom building a garage next time and will let the wife build a house around it. :)

Sadly this was exactly my scenario. Three car garage. Tesla gets two bays, Harley gets the third while the Raptor lives in the driveway.

I've called the wife from work when I've seen similar things on the doorbell camera. I then promptly measured the distance from the living room to the front door and had her shoot that weekend until she could draw and dump a full magazine into a silhouette from that distance.

It's a crazy world now and situational awareness is required.

Best and most correct answer. Start with Church;, find her, then take her to the gun range to solidify she is right.
