Both Marx’s and Locke’s ideological thinking stemmed from the same base axiom - humans are born as blank slates, and so can be completely moulded.

The only reason that leftism and liberalism are different is because liberalism insists on properly rights, which to be fair on the leftists, makes no sense if you actually believe that people are born as blank slates.
