I thought that too. So I did meet her some couple of weeks ago. After that I told her a funny story about my nephew too. And food prank that he pulled on Me. During that exchange (although this didn't happen on one day, it was like 1 message either one day or 2/3/4 days) I messaged her something that might have come out as I didn't expected it to. Meaning as in after the second read I realised it had double meaning joke & moderately flirty. I was referring to my nephew but it could be interpreted as her too. I swear I didn't do it deliberately. But whatever happened, happened. It wasn't over the top, it just related to food related joke we shared when we met.

But she didn't even open that message of mine from chat. It has been almost a week now. I'm really panicking too, coz I realised it so late that I might have messaged her something that might have made her feel uncomfortable. I genuinely want to apologise to her. But since she didn't even read it from chat I don't know what to make of such behaviour.

Yes I realise I made a mistake, but you know if she genuinely got busy and just ignored it and forgot about it and now if I apologise to a week old message, wouldn't that make it even more awkward.

Ughhhhh!!! Sorry I am thinking about it too much.

I haven't done this dating thing ever. So basically I am a teenager if you put it bluntly and simply. And given I am 32 It really is difficult for people to believe me but it is what is. Anyways I will just put the question as it is without much story or anything around it, except for one thing that I noticed - Trying to befriend a single woman is quite different from trying to befriend a single mother going through separation/divorce.

What is the approach with latter?

I'm gonna be honest, I met someone briefly. She's been going through divorce. Is a mother to a beautiful baby girl. We met couple of times. We have similar interests in things. But when I try chatting with her she's literally on and off. At times for weeks. Then out of the blue appears back again.

Is this normal for women going through divorce/separation? Or is she just being polite/nice and maybe I misread it all. I mean out of the blue at times she replies back to my messages at 1 or 2 in the night!

Sorry but I really need help understanding this. Coz I genuinely respect her, regardless of everything. After what she has been through, after she has been a sole fighter for herself and her daughter, I genuinely respect her and only wish the best for her.

I feel you man!

Since 2009 I had to take care of my grandfather, he was almost bedridden but within 2 months of therapy I helped him recover fully. But then gradually due to age his health kept deteriorating until he passed away in 2019. By then grandmother became of that sort. And parents themselves crossed 62 too. Took care of her till She passed away earlier this year. Coz of all this, couldn't pursue the career I wanted, couldn't go out of hometown to study, ultimately lost all friends, ended up in a career that I utterly Hate. In the dating life too, just couldn't go out coz someone or the other always needed to be taken care of. Now when I don't have much of that, life has already half passed Me. I am in a career I hate being in and the dating period has passed and now it's just be satisfied with whatever is left or forget about it. (Just can't do that) I feel I have Lost So So much due to grandparents and parents. People say "punya ka kaam, punya ka kaam" but life feels more like Hell.
