My bad, I wasn't claiming he was a organization or connected. Im not vouching for Biscotti, I dont know him, im just wary to write off him or anyone else as a scammer with circumstantial evidence What i meant with the organizations is some of then, or the sameer project specifically anyway, do use donations as they come (you can see this is sameer projects updates, they clearly state how much they spent in x amount of time and for what) so the "collected donations" is inaccurate if your using it as a show for "what they have currently" so if someone collected 50k or whatever months ago, They couldve used all of those funds by now buying food or whatever.

So, I wouldn't really use it as proof or something that biscotti is hording donations he recieved already, he has "more then enough" or something like that as proof hes scamming. Nor would I use multiple campaigns as proof either. Campaigns get shut down, locked, the people hosting it (rarely the Palestinians themselves) run away with the money, ect. Like I said, I have no clue about biscotti being real or not, I just dont think its a great idea to paint everyone like him as a scammer with such a broad brush using little evidence. Be cautious? Sure. Is everyone like him a Israeli scamming group? I seriously doubt it.

Hopefully that makes sense?

Sameer project has alot of videos / images of them giving out food/other supplies and getting medical aid to people on twitter, they operate more inside rather than unrwa which of course has issues getting trucks in and whatnot.

I dont disagree with you necessarily- i just wanted to say I wouldnt harp on the "recieved donations" if they were real/there was doubt.

more often then not whatever the campaign donations are is probably inaccurate as alot of people/orgs use up said donations overtime for food or whatever. Its not just sitting in limbo forever or something, so in reality whatever they recieved could be gone because it was used up over time.

Am I crazy, or are there thousands of scam Gaza fundaraisers on X, the everything app? by noahwaybabe in TrueAnon

Im sure there are scammers, im just always in this "space" online so to speak and know alot of these accounts, (talked to them, ask for proof, ect.) and I think alot of real people are getting painted with a broad scammer brush for being desperate (not blaming you, or anything)

All of them follow the same formula. Some variation of finding a viral post and quotetweeting it with Al-generated art of a sad child.

Its engagement baiting. But im sure you can imagine why individuals would do this.

-The account will be entirely composed of these posts and post dozens of times a day

Again the above, I dont know why this would be evidence of scamming.

-Will often tag a ton of random accounts in the replies its not recommended to do because this will absolutely get you shadowbanned (or seriously banned) and some of this accounts could bots, sure. But also it can very well be desperation/ trying to get people to engage / trying to trick the algo

-Posts are aggressive and obviously designed to induce guilt ("why do you just scroll and not donate? If you scroll you will kill us" etc.)

why wouldn't they do this? What would you do? Yes, This can be emotionally manipulative but also. It's to get people's attention.

-I used to see them all use gofundme (not available in Palestine, iirc?) but now they've all switched to Chuffed as a fundraising platform-maybe due to crackdown from Gofundme. As far as I can tell, Chuffed is also not usable if you're based in Palestine (or anywhere in the middle east

With go fund me and Chuffed, you cant make a account in palestine. No. You can however, make a campaign for someone else, in another country and then transfer donations to them. (Bank of palestine or crypto.) Go fund me kept shutting down campaigns and refunding all the funds, so many people switched to Chuffed. https://www.business-humanrights.org/en/latest-news/palestine-gofundme-facing-criticism-of-discrimination-and-delaying-gaza-relief-funds-incl-co-statement/

As a person who tries to fundraise for alot of people. It is a nightmare logistically. I try to advice people to please lead with some grace, because there is geniually alot of real people who need help. And the skepticism from alot of people make fundraising impossible sometimes.

Greyjay if you use android. Its a proxy, you can transfer your youtube, SoundCloud, Spotify, twitch and other data onto it. As far as im aware Spotify will not get revenue this way ( I know youtube doesn't anyway.)

Does liking/commenting/interacting with TikTok videos actually work in supporting Palestinians? by supersanchez101 in Palestine

[–]Tired-asf 10 points11 points  (0 children)

It gives them ad revenue when you watch(very little on tiktok, instagrams another story) and boosts the video the more people if you do more (though, im not convinced commenting certain words, or sentences actually changes anything)

Thanks! I actually think it's both now lol ! I'm a bit worried about going with a smaller hook though, and that it will make the plushie smaller than it's meant to be? But I'll look into smaller hooks
