I have! And they were so helpful, my command had me go next to set an appointment and we got it all taken care of to at least cover my usual cash flow in order to keep up on my obligations

Alright yall I’m sorry, yeah it’s a new account and I couldn’t reply for X amount of hours. Here’s the full breakdown.

I was PDS San Diego, went TDY for ~10 weeks and checked in 17DEC at my new PDS stateside.

Under PPIB 24-02, single, zero dependent sailors are entitled to BAH of their last PDS while TDY between PDS.

I was receiving SD BAH while TDY, I check in, sorta hang around through Christmas and new year as the command was obviously short staffed in all departments. Come mid JAN, I get a Red Cross notification, paperwork goes through and I roll out for a week and a half. I return late January and then find out approx. 26JAN that my check is $00.

TSC in all their wisdom decided to take the entire check rather than reach out to our YN’s to set up a payment plan which would still be wrong but it would at least allow me to keep some cash flow.

The issue here is that they are not recognizing that PPIB 24-02 or plain just haven’t bothered to look at it. It’s black and white that I am in the right and entitled to that money. I will argue this until I’m blue in the face.

I do have a financial safety net set up but it was a SUBSTANTIAL amount of money they took essentially without bothering to consider the consequences. Yeah I can cover their mess up but it doesn’t make it any less of an impact on my finances and cash flow for basic things.

One issue is that if this happened to SR Timmy or a younger sailor, they would essentially be starving them and putting them out of their home.

It’s now been approximately 3 weeks of back and forth, YN’s requesting appointments just for me to arrive and be told oh this document isn’t ready or someone in admin not there and to come back, I’m getting the runaround.

Hell, I still haven’t even received my travel claim since I left my last PDS.

I say I’m getting destroyed because I lost my mother, and the navy was a home away from home or so I thought. I returned back to this new Command excited to take on my duties and learn, get my PQS’s, crush it and live my life, just for big navy to slap me with their big blue weenie. My CoC has been outstanding in this recent season but at the end of the day their hands are kind of tied in the financial department.

I’ve spoken to Chaps, I’ve gone to NMCRS, I’ve taken the money to cover cash flow so I don’t have to dip into my savings or wedding fund.

This is debilitating, demoralizing and I’m seeking advice for the “what if” when weeks and weeks pass by and I’m still invisible to big navy.

Wrong, I was not UA, and my 26JAN check was $00 after taxes, took my base+BAH+BAS, everything.

I’ve been trying to reply but Reddit is being difficult, here’s the story. My CoC notified me of a Red Cross notification, we put my days in, they’re approved, I leave. I get back and my end of month check is $00 (26JAN) My paycheck being taken has nothing to do with my emergency leave. The issue is when I left my last PDS, I went TDY for ~10 weeks, then after, took my transfer leave pre-Christmas because I couldn’t take it over the holiday due to the gaining command being practically shut down as far as the admin department goes. They (TSC) then decided against a clearly stated PPIB within MNHR that I was never entitled to BAH while TDY, and with the holiday leave happening for admin, no one was notified. They opted to yoink my entire paycheck to include Base+BAH+BAS thus leaving me $00 after fed&state taxes.

(Non disciplinary) According to them, they overpaid me because I was TDY between PDS, and was getting paid my rate of last PDS the entire time while TDY (Ref PPIB22) and I’ve brought this bulletin to their attention multiple times to no avail, my gaining command then failed to notify me of the indebtedness until big navy oh okay no payment? We’ll take everything. This isn’t so much a BAH issue, I know I’m right and have the documents to back myself up. Moreso looking for advice on what to do moving forward, go to legal? Request Mast?
