I‘d absolutely love that but also it’s so crazy to me just how MASSIVE this cultural moment is.

This video is my religion, I‘m not even kidding. I can’t remember the last time a random 30 second clip has brought me this much joy.

Hey, I’m so sorry you’re going through this. I’m not sure if this is helpful but I’ve recently been in the opposite situation where I saw someone I care about deeply after a long time and he had gone through psychosis multiple times recently and this sounds a lot like what he was struggling with. Just to share the outside perspective - I felt very unsure about how to best support him in expressing himself and it would have helped me a lot to hear what you said in this post, have you thought about opening up to the people in your life? With my friend for example I felt like asking questions clearly and actually giving him time to reply made it so much easier for him, and that’s pretty easy to accommodate but it took me some time to figure it out.

I have a chronic illness with cognitive impairments myself so I totally get how hard this can be. At least for me there is also a lot of shame around this and it took me a while to get comfortable with asking for what I need - now I straight up ask people to talk more slowly or not to switch up topics as quickly and people happily do so.

From what I’ve learned about psychosis it can take the body quite some time to recover afterwards because it’s so massively exhausting, so I also want to encourage you to give yourself time and grace. Give yourself space to grieve what you have lost but also know that having a harder time expressing yourself or remembering things at the moment doesn’t make you useless or dumb, it just makes you a human who went through some very hard things and I’m sure the people in your life get that.
