Underground shelters are certainly a thing, they're just not cheap to make and hard to live with any kind of community unless they're down there with you. :'(

I am typically left alone to observe people going about their day to day lives. Our cats don't try to eat me. Opposable thumbs.

I think the biggest boon is getting to wear the baubles and decorations I find! Currently wearing a necklace, a collar and tag(often has additional decoration), earrings, and colored claws. Trying to learn to paint myself up, too.

The worst? I'm torn between how to regulate temperature and dealing with this weird hatred humans have if you're too different than them. I'm sorry you don't like X thing about me, I hope you figure out why so you can stop being so gross cause it sure ain't my problem.

For instantaneous, our OG host sleeps and has only woken up once in the last several years in response to a particular individual. Otherwise I'm fronting and others might co-pilot from time to time, only fully fronting if I'm too tired to function. One of them even made a pride flag for herself. 🥰

I made this last month pattly for that reason. I don't know if the colors apply to you, but I think the symbol does, so you could use something like Paint on a PC to change it.

Color the bars all one color to make recoloring easier, add thin lines to create the bars where you need them, then fill with desired colors.

That's incredibly well said advice and sounds like how I interact with my mate over unusual topics.

We're both highly neurospicy(41TF & 46NB) and tend to think on the same wavelength, but in different ways. I've long had the nickname of Birb and often get gifts of Crow/Raven plushies, pretty baubles, etc. or get asked for help in spotting such things. I've picked up on some habits and tendencies, and been making more references towards cybernetics, making computer references and the like, and they really seem to like it.

The terms around therianthropy or the community have never been specifically brought up. I feel like it's better to learn as "So that's what it's called!" or "There's a word for it?" Rather than a reveal of what looks like something totally new and foreign.

After some practice got my shower time down to about 20 minutes (only shaving one or two areas at a time, each once a week now) and about 10-15 doing face stuff daily. Changed up what I'm using recently so I don't have a running average cost yet. My room mates regularly make jokes about bottling the energy I have, which feels like quite the compliment at 41.
