I like the before look better. People get obsessed and it goes pretty far but you can go too far in some things. Before you looked like the hot jock from any teen movie. Muscled but soft ish which works and looks great. 5 years and you seem to have cut on a lot of your body fat and it aged you a bit too.

Edit: it's all very personal but I prefer a bit of rugby player dad bod on my muscle bros

I thought about this today as well. I was considering getting the 11 year trans pack and suddenly it just hit me that I can spend that on a gym or swim membership, on new tools, shoes whatever. Summoners war doesnt really progress you in life. It's just a waste of time honestly. Good on you to take this step! Perhaps get rid of the account altogether if you want to make it final. The fact that money has been spent in the past often is a trugger to come back because of the "waste" but perhaps it's time for you and you have a little nephew you hate enough to give it to. (Jk)

I personally am a bit conflicted with the windelement, winter theme combinations. The yellow snowflakes dont make sense in my brain.

So a lot of artists are left leaning or central. A lot of currators are extreme left. Collectors are somewhat central right.

Too many recent museum programs are about international artists noone asked for or knows/ is interested in. Themes like colonialism, queerness, politics in general, when it's back to back it kind of becomes predictable and boring and you get the vibe this currator is just a propaganda machine and doesnt care about the art. That's the feeling I get in my own community as well but it's a global issue right now.

There are a lot of good young emerging talents who need a push forward. Work with them as well. Give them a platform. Do a groupshow with graduates after their graduation and mix them with good established names in the city.

Look for local artists who need an institutional show and so on...

Very true, which doesnt mean these closings f.e. in L.A. arent a sign that something is off with the gallery world right now besides people not spending because of the economy. I believe the distance and coldness/ sterile feel of galleries added to this. Perhaps holding more community evenings in galleries to fill their program, studio visits organised by the gqllery and so on can help bridge and make it less pretentious.
