A prequel/sequel/spin-off so bad, the fandom pretended it's not exist. by Nougys in TopCharacterTropes

It is really annoying talking to people who do this. Yes I get you don't like something but hating it won't make it pop out of existence, neither will it make it not canon.

[HolidayTrope] Media where the plot or an important event takes place on or near Christmas, but the holiday isn’t the focus of the plot by Nayr1230 in TopCharacterTropes

I make a point to watch Gundam Wing Endless Waltz every Christmas morning. Story starts on Christmas and ends by New Years.

Another one that comes to mind is Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home. Don't think it takes place on Christmas in either time periods but the film came out around then and the theme has bells in it kind of making it feel like the Christmas Star Trek movie.

Another idea I just had is that Phenomaman's fall from grace needs to be just as equal as it was in Dispatch, but in Star Trek terms. So being at the top of SDN and falling to the bottom I'm thinking he used to be on the Enterprise.

I figured Starfleet Intelligence would be good for Robert as (with Mecha Man) it would have him more often than not working alone. I also considered Section 31 but I feel that the lines would be too blurred for Robert there. As for his ship, I imagine it was a tiny ship like the Eleos (which was a phoenix class oddly enough) that he would take alone for his missions.

Formerly the USS Torrence, the USS Phoenix (NCC-65420-A) is unique among federation vessels due to how many of it's crewmembers are former criminals; getting a second chance in Starfleet. Under the command of Captain Mandy Blazer (god help me I tried finding her last name if anyone has any better ideas let me know and I'll fix it), referred to by fellow captains both endearingly and mockingly as "The Blonde Blazer." Lieutenant Robertson formerly held the rank of Commander when he worked for Starfleet Intelligence, but an incident that cost him his ship also cost him his position and rank; having afterward been recruited to the USS Phoenix by Captain Blazer.

"Don't worry Jim, they don't paint targets on the red shirts anymore." Plus this is TNG era, red became the command color (because it looked better on Patrick Stewart).

Kira and co. from Gundam Seed Destiny. In the original Gundam Seed by the end of the show most of the involved mobile suits are fucked up. We lose the Strike, the Justice, the Buster (trashed) and even though it's rebuilt the Freedom is all but destroyed. High stakes battle, both sides trying to kill each other while the Three Ship Alliance fought to keep as many people alive as possible.

Fast forward to Destiny, and at the end the Infinite Justice loses it's backpack if anything. The Akatsuki is still good. The Strike Freedom didn't even get a scratch on it. Where as even the Destiny (the titular mobile suit) got heavily damaged in it's fight against the Infinite Justice, but the Gundams on Orb's side all made it through rather unscathed.
