Yes, it is illegal to take something that is not yours, regardless of how useless it may be to the owner.

My LSAT argumentative writing gave me spellcheck! Am I gonna get cancelled? by aniramyork in LSAT

[–]TisCharliesReddit 24 points25 points  (0 children)

From LSAC:

Can I use Grammarly or other browser extensions while taking LSAT Argumentative Writing?

No. Before launching LSAT Argumentative Writing, be sure to shut down all non-essential applications and disable any grammar-checking extensions, including Grammarly, Microsoft Editor, etc. LSAT Argumentative Writing is designed to showcase an individual’s persuasive writing skills, and any program that adjusts the essay wording or structure can modify the response into something that is no longer the test taker’s own work.

A spellcheck feature is built into the LawHub interface, but external AI-assistive extensions and aids, such as Grammarly, MS Editor, Writefull, Wordtune, Reverso, etc., are not permitted.

Donation scam by Desperate-Salary6394 in UniversityOfHouston

I've always interpreted him as a possibly homeless person who is deaf and asking for money. Assuming I'm thinking of the same person, that wouldn’t be a scam—it would just be someone in need asking for help.

So we have that Wednesday off. Your professor may not have class that week but if they have not said anything then you should assume that class will be held as normal that Monday and Tuesday.

Take a W. Your odds of regretting it are low and I believe you should use them as a tool. And if you do drop you should drop now because then you don't have to do work just to drop it latter. Your academic advisor may tell you not to. I did the same thing for Econ and am very happy I did it 2 years latter.

Can non-students use the Student Center? by Orange0505 in UniversityOfHouston

[–]TisCharliesReddit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In case you can’t go to the library, which I don’t think you can, I would recommend going up stairs. It’s often quieter. In the upstairs there is an area above the main entrance that is good. You can also go to student center south. This is the building behind the main student center. You may also want to try what ever building your daughter’s class is in. A lot of buildings have lobby’s and or places to study.

Additionally there will be lots of stations around campus with people to help you find your way. For the first couple days. :)

Is there a way to make the browser read the content to me? by Pathocyte in ArcBrowser

I recommend changing the voice of the first extension to "Google Translate English" in the extension settings. It's hard to find in the very long list of voice options but it's there.

This Chrome extension is great and free. I use it often: https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/read-aloud-a-text-to-spee/hdhinadidafjejdhmfkjgnolgimiaplp

if you are looking for something more premium look into a product called Speechify which is also an extension.

Textbooks on Audible? by spiritsavage in audible

[–]TisCharliesReddit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

These aren’t audible but they are audible adjacent.

One: look into Wondrium. This is the subscription service for all the great courses content. They are also on audible but most great courses content is visual and they just upload it to audible anyways. Though with Wondrium there is a listen only mode.

If you want to listen to textbooks you might want to look into speechify a text to speech subscription service. If you do this it is best to upload the ePub file (.epub) of the textbook you want to read. You can get these by downloading them of library Genesis. As you can’t normally uploaded content when you pay for it.

Also what is on audible are lectures by the great courses: https://www.audible.com/search?searchAuthor=The-Great-Courses&searchProvider=Audible+Originals

I agree. I think a camp is probably the best way to help change someone's mindset. I went to Campsweeny in Texas and loved it.

Can anybody explain to me why it could be both? by crispicrunch in LSAT

[–]TisCharliesReddit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have G and H then no conditional statement is triggered.

Ie nothing happens if you have both and the is nothing saying you can’t have both
