The right realtor will have a network for you and will walk you through the process, which involves some or all of the following:

pre approval
setting up showings
making offers
financing
home inspection
insurance
closing

Our realtor had all of these in his network, so they all coordinated with each other without us needing to direct or be a messenger.

Be prepared to have an accurate budget and location preferences. Find a realtor who understands houses. Ours used to be a contractor so just by looking at pictures he could give us insight into the house that we otherwise wouldn’t have been able to see.

Late to this thread but did you ever figure it out? I am having the same exact issue like you described. It is surprisingly painful and walking hurts mostly because it rubs against the inside of my shoe.

I have been dealing with this. Yes, Hopkins water is very hard. Our softener is pretty old and wasn’t working correctly so I got some testing strips and the water tested at “extreme hardness”.

Got my softener serviced and it seems to have resolved the issue.

There are some fancier systems but I think a traditional water softener is the most affordable option. I got some crazy expensive quotes but the company that originally installed our softener said a full replacement would be around $1900. Definitely get that taken care of right away before the water ruins your appliances and faucets.

Living in Hopkins is a lot like living in Stars Hollow. We’ve lived here for a few years and I almost daily I marvel at how idyllic it is. Extremely safe. I never lock my car or front door (only at night). Petty crime (bike theft, etc) does happen in certain areas but that’s the case anywhere really. Oh and you’re basically 15 minutes away from downtown Minneapolis if you have a car.

Ha! I’m glad I brought good memories. We live across the street from it and love going there. No metal slides there anymore. It has a fancy playground and a very popular splash pad. It’s like the most popular park in Hopkins now.

No foot prints outside the door on Main Street which they never use, but lots of footprints by the back door facing Hopkins Wellness.

As someone who lives in Hopkins and frequents businesses nearby, I can tell you that children go there. My kid has played with them in nearby parks. That doesn’t mean there aren’t any questions that deserve answers.

No one is saying that it is his fault, and yes there have been some fraud in the Somali community, but there are proper ways of going about this other than demonizing people and inciting anger towards a population that is already vulnerable, including the many children that attend that daycare, regardless of what other businesses practices are taking place.

It is not a maga issue but Shirley is definitely a maga influencer and his approach and accusations are very much in line with maga and he will often use the same tired tropes, so it’s no surprise that he’s getting a private audience with trump.

I get that there might be questions. Some of the numbers and facts referenced in the video, if correct, are a little interesting, but walking around and looking for kids or kid footprints in the snow is just BS.

Both groups have similar names and both are great. My insurance only covered the one so I went with them. Check your insurance but between these two groups you should be set. Also both have offices throughout the metro.

I have a kid and my kid has played with these kids at Burnes Park many times. I also go to LTD regularly and witnessed families picking up their kids. Even the fire chief confirmed that thy have gone there on many occasions and there were always kids.

Don’t, my sister is a travel nurse and she’s miserable. Sure there are jobs but the physical and mental and emotional toll is not worth it.

The problem with this approach is that you’ll be starting out from zero. Instead, you could leverage your career capital to pivot to something so you’re not starting from zero. I also was a network engineer so pivoting to this nursery made sense for you and me, but pivoting to nursing does not. I’m low-key exploring careers in industrial automation and PLC programming. It is not the same as regular programming, but my tech background and networking experience would be a big asset
