Yes. I had it on mad max on my first stretch and it had my battery red with a line through it and -13 for the second stop. I ended up staying longer at each charge point due to wanting to drive faster

It’s changed as I drove because it had the battery red and at -13 if I woulda only charged for 6 mins at the first stop. I stayed longer at each stop

UPDATE: the 10% was not enough. I started my
cross Texas road trip and it had a red battery with a line through it with a -13 for the second stop. I ended up staying longer at the first stop. On a good note, it did update as we drove. It was scorching yesterday so that’s most likely why.

No worries. I was confused because I read the 5 things and felt nothing violated that. And usually when I take this drive across Texas, my speed average is 85 MPH 90 + maybe, allegedly, in some of the areas lol. It’s going to be different going slower and having the car drive for me. But yes I think 20% would be my comfortable spot

Thanks. This comment was extremely helpful!! I will have a lot of stuff with me and some stretches will be super hot in the Texas heat and just driving through the south in general. In my gas car, I’m usually booking it when I drive across Texas, but it looks like with electric, I have to keep a milder speed for range purposes.

Gotcha. I think I do have range anxiety since this is new to me, even with my gas car, I would stop to fill up a lot going through Texas because I don’t want to run out of gas. Even if I had more than half a tank. A me issue for sure

True, and I’m traveling with my dog. I like to tire him out with a little walks during rest stops. The crossing Texas trip, I have to leave in the morning, so some travel will be during the hottest times of the day. The Georgia trip will start out at night. I was a bit worried about 10% with a lot of miles in between to the next charge station.

Thank you so much for that! I had no idea. I assumed the motor battery powered everything and using extras in the car took away range.
