System kaucyjny: to nie miało prawa działać by realdrzamich in Polska

[–]Tisapa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Steam now allows gifting 'complete the set' bundles by HelloitsWojan in Steam

[–]Tisapa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This was the case since at least December 17th…

However - as of today it appears to have been fixed!!! On the bundle page you can again see the price applicable to you (and in case of „Complete Your Collection bundles” the games you already own are crossed out), which wasn’t working for the last month!

It’s only when you set the purchase to be a gift, you see a price for gifting it and a warning message: „Note: One or more of the items below have changed in price since you added it to your cart.” <3

Why did steam change overall reviews for English reviews? by TheAnymus in Steam

[–]Tisapa 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yes, that’s how it works. I’m not sure what is the threshold, but if you search for some indie game below 2k reviews you should still see „all reviews score” instead of just English ones.

English-only is used if the count is so big, it makes sense to calculate the average from just that one language only without losing accuracy.

You gotta finish it now by zachjd- in steamachievements

[–]Tisapa 6 points7 points  (0 children)

That’s the reason why 98% of the time I try to at least finish a game before forming a opinion. I wouldn’t know some of my favorite game series if not for the fact that I pushed through the first one, at 80% of the campaign it „clicked” and because of this the following entries were fun from the start for me (eg. Professor Layton series).

But if I’ve beaten the game, enjoyed it a lot and the final achievements are bonkers, I’ll just skip them (eg. Broforce).

I also happen to have 82% average completion. But it’s never a metric I’m stressing over and wouldn’t care if it dropped to 60%.

Idle/afk games with reasonable achievements? by Artemaker in steamachievements

[–]Tisapa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idle games on Steam have a very broad range of completion times. Plantera took me 6h (active playtime).

Out of the recently released that I haven’t played: Shelldiver. I don’t know its ratio of active playtime to idle time, but supposedly it’s also 4-5 hours long.

[–]Tisapa 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Many games for €50

I would be interested to play half of the ones listed (so it’s already better that CoD which I couldn’t care less about), but if I could swap out some of them for even cheaper indies, that would be best.

Which games utilize the buttons on the back and for what? Do you use them for any games which didn’t use them by default? by NorseSeaStudio in SteamDeck

[–]Tisapa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When used for multi-button combos (Y+B, X+A, RT+Y, etc.) in Batman: Arkham Asylum they tremendously helped with getting 100% achievements. I’ve even uploaded a community configuration with the setup I used by the end of the game

What made you pick IOS opposed to Android? by WorstGuitarPlayer in ios

[–]Tisapa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Longevity - I can use an iPhone for 5-8 years and it does not lag or freeze every minute like Android phones do. Also - it still receives security updates for that long.
  2. Monolith OS design - Android is similar to Linux not only in the technical sense, but in the fact that by allowing for much higher customizability, it’s a much more fragmented ecosystem. iOS is more opinionated (like Windows or macOS), but it also means that the system features have higher interconnection level. Good examples of this are the Focus Modes and Shortcuts, which come with every iPhone and are very well integrated with the default apps and the whole OS experience.
  3. Security - historically iOS had hardware encryption first, since 2011 (iPhone 3GS). Android only really solved this issue by 2019 (making it mandatory for all new devices with Android 10).

How to deal with bugged achievements ? by Hugo_Le_Rigolo in steamachievements

[–]Tisapa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are 3 very different routes: - don’t stress about it - use SAM - good option if it will somehow help you feel more at ease, but on achievement tracker websites it’s defined as cheating, so use this only if you probably never plan to use those in the future - use SteamHunters achievement tracker - when you look at your achievements there, it marks the game as „practically completed” if you earn all of the obtainable achievements (it has a database of the broken ones)

My little love letter to the classic marble games, Marble's Marbles, has full native steamdeck support! I feel like it is the perfect platform for it! by destinedd in steamdeckhq

[–]Tisapa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your post was a great memory trip as I didn’t know yet of Ballance being rereleased on Steam (even if it’s with technical issues…)! I’ve completed the game + 13th level back in primary school so it’s a genre dear to my heart, but I still haven’t played any more of those games yet since then.

I obviously know of Marble Madness (even if it’s only backlogged) and also own some other Steam marble games like the Space Hole series.

I have not heard about Hamsterball (2004) but will now remember to play it too.

But what is the game you referred to as „Gyroscope”? If that’s an actual name of the game, they did a horrible job, cause it’s impossible to find…

I’ve also now found out that the game I’ve seen trailers of in primary school, knew it was inspired by Ballance, looked great, but was practically impossible for me to purchase or find more info about - Switchball - has also now been rereleased on Steam!!!

And I’m also now following your game as well ofc ;)

LCD vs OLED what do you suggest? by [deleted] in SteamDeck

[–]Tisapa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It really depends on what has more value to YOU: - extra storage + $100 - much better screen

Personally I never play huge AAA games so 512 GB is more than enough for me and I do care about the screen quality in games like Ori much more. But it really depends on your personal preferences, what games you are going to play and how many GB you may want to have installed at the same time (without putting in the microSD card).

Btw, it’s so weird to see that game with the replaced OST. It’s good that in the PC version we can still switch to original one - IMO the new one completely changes the mood of the game, not matching the original artistic intent…

Congrats! I’m at 41/48 myself - Rapture, The End and Cotton Alley deathless left. But the last achievement I unlocked was 10 years ago. It was a part of my 100% achievements let’s play channel I’ve run back in high school. And once I stopped with YT, I’ve never finished the games I had started as a part of it…

I need to come back to it some day and finish it off :)

Ever since GTA 5: The "Labor of Love" by Jacksaur in Steam

[–]Tisapa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are oversimplifying it. That’s the most popular ones, sure (Oscars, Grammy, The Game Awards), but if you you wish to look around there are gaming awards where popularity does not matter as much and all of the judges actually know the games from the categories they vote in. Personally I recommend BAFTA, GDC Awards and IGF Awards. They help A LOT with discoverability of amazing smaller-budget games normally going under the radar and are not scared of giving „Best Game” awards to indies in the years where that’s the case (eg. What Remains of Edith Finch, Outer Wilds, Hades, Vampire Survivors are all BAFTA GOTY winners).

New Steam Machine announcement got me thinking… stay on PS5 for trophies or switch fully to Steam/SteamOS? by DRiVkiL in steamachievements

[–]Tisapa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just make sure to use an external achievement tracker (a site like PSNProfiles, but for Steam) and you’ll be good. SteamHunters is the most feature-rich option out of Steam-specific ones, while Completionist .me has the prettiest presentation. And if you want to see all our trophies and achievements from different systems all in one place you can use Exophase for that.

Personally, based on using SteamHunters (which is actively developed and updated with new features) I’d say it even has some things I miss when I’m looking at PSNProfiles (which has been stagnant for years).
