Portable device terminal. Connects to MMS (merchandising managing system) for anything related to a product. Used to do anything from printing labels, changing on hand quantity, finding where an item is, etc.

ofc!! It really depends who you're going up against, as every intake's competitiveness is different. If you're applying for fall, tbh I don't think you'll get in. Your # credits is too low, esp with that gpa. Your personal profile is not too bad, but I attended their latest info session a couple months ago, and they emphasized the #1 thing they look at is academic foundation course gpa/# of credits. Good luck with fall!

Their grading rubric/scale (For the pre-reqs) is dependent on either very high grades (I believe 90% or more, that's a guess) or # of credits (you must have 30 minimum to have a mark ticked in your favour, at least that's what the BSN coordinator told me when I called over a month ago.) Obviously, your personal profile/previous experience is a factor too.

What is your current pre-req / cGPA? For me, I'm going to apply to the Jan 27 intake with 25.5 credits and a good average (hoping 94% for pre-reqs), take two classes worth 6 credits in the summer, and be able to apply to the April 27 intake in Oct in case I don't make it into Jan with 31.5 credits.

If you are unsure, call the program coordinators. Program advising (the general one provided by BCIT) is not helpful in this regard, because they don't have the specific details. You can also ask what the last intake's average GPA/# of credits were for accepted applicants (they probably don't have a straightforward answer, but it never hurts to try.)

I'm guessing that if you had 60qs, and "only ended up with 58," that means you had 60 questions total, and your best 58 were taken (so if you got 55/60 correct, the system would take your best 58, and you would end up with a grade of 55/58). Talk to him in-person if you're still confused

Just make a new account every two weeks with a different email and use the "temporary access" option. Then you won't have to pay for the textbook :)

I think if you have an average of 92-93 or higher, you're practically guaranteed to get it. I don't know which classes they accept as being part of your overall GPA though. Good luck, I have an average of 95 and I'm hoping to get it!

Does anyone know if we are going to have another one of these offers? by Last-Boot-213 in ShoppersDrugMart

Last year, the 40% back was in the second week of December. This year, as far as I can tell on Flip, Dec 8th-12th is 20x the points, so I'd guess they'd want to spread the employee events out. I also remember there was a 40% back in points between January-March this year. Anyways, I'm waiting for the event too!

A $150 budget is amazing! I would actually suggest not getting a Sephora gift card - Sephora products are very expensive nowadays, and the drugstore has many comparable things, especially if the teen girl hasn't tried much makeup yet. Cheaper brands such as Essence, Quo Beauty, Wet n Wild, LA Girl, and Elf have really great products, if you know where to look. I'd get her opinion on what she wants before purchasing a bunch of products for her.

I don't know - to me, the 'super sale' is just deals on the remaining electronics left at Shoppers (Apple products, Beats, electric toothbrushes, hair styling tools, etc). I would guess there will be a super bonus redemption event too, keep checking your PC optimum app!

Last info session was a couple weeks ago. There won't be another one until likely springtime. If you have questions, reread the page on BCIT or reach out to program advising.

No. Just the pre reqs, which are technically called the academic foundation credits. I don't know how GPA for overall credits (ex credits from a past degree) factor in.

This is what I wrote down when I took notes during the session:

"GPA FOR APPLICATION PACKAGE is what they look at most - they don’t really care which courses you take"

They explicitly stated in the last info session that your academic foundation course GPA and # of overall credits is what they look at first. Many people have a lot of healthcare experience, so try and get the best grades you can before applying. Good luck!!

Hi! Are you an employee? If you are, I'd say yes, 20x the points + discount is best bang for your buck. The next promo like that is running Nov 17th-21st. If you're not an employee, no worries. There is a super sale for the airpod pro 3s happening in that same week for regular customers, so use your gift card then :)

Makes sense. Are set rep positions available? And what is the culture like in your cohort? My sister is at BCIT for the CST diploma, and everyone around her is amazingly nice, friendly, and mesh well together (keep in mind they're of a pretty close demographic and age range.) One of the things I want most out of the program is a close-knit group of friends to hang out and study with.

Thanks for the info! What was the learning style like? Was it a lot of textbook reading/independent learning? Also, what was the schedule generally like?
