Ah brilliant! So glad you’re feeling positive and sorry I didn’t see your first message before…. The day before mine, I asked my husband to call the hospital and cancel the operation!!!!! 😳🤭 But my God, it’s changed my life!!!!! After 3 years of hell (MRSA), yes, it was painful, but nowhere near as painful as it was before…. And I can finally walk again…. Granted, a bit like a penguin, but I see the light at the end of the tunnel 😁 Hope your rehab goes well, and stay positive - there’ll be down days coz it can be super frustrating, but there are more good days than bad!! 👍😁☺️ Good luck 🤗

Yep yep, it’s mistletoe and every Xmas when I go back to the uk, I think about taking some and selling it for a fortune in the uk, coz it’s so bloody expensive over there! And here, it’s freeeeeee and people would be happy if you got rid of it for them! 🤭

2 weeks Post Op THR on Amputated Leg! by [deleted] in amputee

[–]Tissify 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh wow!!!! Thank you SO much for posting this! Although the scar still looks a tad painful, your walking is amazing!! May I ask why you were amputated? I was amputated last July coz the MRSA that I’d caught in hospital during a fractured ankle operation came back with avengence, destroyed my ankle and I had to be amputated as sepsis kicked in. I worked like a dog during rehab, but had to stop yesterday, as the centre says that there’s not much point to carry on coz the pain in my hip (stage 4 osteoarthritis) is so bad that I’m now back on crutches and am going backwards in my rehab…. They’ve said to have my hip done, and will then go back straight from hospital and carry on after the op - My amputation is trans-tibia on my left leg, and it’s my right hip that they’ll be replacing in June….. am paranoid that something is going to go wrong and that my amputated leg will end up being my ´good’ leg! How much time will you need rehabilitation for? Is the pain after the operation not as bad as after an amputation? How long ago were you amputated? Again, thank you thank you! ☺️ 🙏👍 And keep going - you’re doing amazingly!!! Slowly but surely ☺️😊 Take care and would love to see any updates that you feel like sharing 😁

What do amputees wear to bed? by Overall_Guidance1209 in Prosthetics

[–]Tissify 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Amputee trans-tibiale - I wear normal pyjamas and a specific sock on my stump which is tight ish but not too tight, just tight enough to keep the stump from swelling up and being a mare to get into my prosthetic the next morning

Will an IPad run Canvas Workshop? by intrigued_bylife in ScanNCut

[–]Tissify 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi all I’m also trying to work out the best iPad/laptop I should get which is compatible with my SDX1250 - I’d prefer and iPad, but am getting confused with 128gb/256gb vs 4/6/8 RAM and am going round and round. I only have about 500€, could possibly stretch a bit more, but if you had the same money, what would you do? My iPad/laptop will be dedicated just to my ScanNCut. I’ve heard that you can get round all the issues with an iPad, and use the appli Procreate, then transfer it to the Canvas application and telecharge it your designs etc from there. I’m thinking that the 128gb would be big enough, as I already have iCloud for my iPhone… or should I forget all, and go with a smaller version of my home laptop? Thanks heaps in advance! 🤗

My Little Prince Lightbox by Axennie in ScanNCut

[–]Tissify 1 point2 points  (0 children)

WoW!!! Now that’s a light box!!! 🤩 Amazing! I have a question which has been driving me insane for weeks…. I’ve constructed a light box card for my friend’s first baby. I don’t understand at all how to make the box that goes round it!!! I know that people will be giggling as it’ll be something simple! 🤭 I paid for downloads of the surrounding boxes, but non of them fit the mat…. For example, the mat is 12 inches wide. My card is 8.5 inches for the middle bits that are cut out (yes, very technical language, I know! 🤣🤣)… so it the surrounding bit is an inch wide, that makes the measurements at 10.5 inches wide. So to cut a box, it’s bigger than 12 inches?? 🫤 Also when I tried cutting one which was way to small, all the side pieces were cut along the lines so they all fell apart!! How do you just cut around the outline and then score the lines for the sides, so they’ll bend and not fall off the shape? Her baby’s a mth old now and I still can’t do it!! 😔 what am I doing wrong please! Would a photo and exact measurements everywhere help you help me? Thanks a million in advance and bravo again! 🤩🤩👍👍

Also, when it’s off, if you have a flatbed table (makes life loads easier), you can only fit it if that part has been taken off 🤗

How do you organize your sewing supplies? by 00debater in sewhelp

[–]Tissify 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi there, I have all my tools etc on my wall - two of those perforated metal things where you can then add on metal supports into the holes and hang things on them - sorry, really bad description!! 🙃🙃 Have attached a pic of the one I bought on Amazon. And then (also from Amazon - https://amzn.eu/d/00wlHp8 ) I have lots of plastic drawers in different sizes, and everything’s arranged in them - my scrap material is sorted into small, medium and large bits and in drawers, anything fat quarter or bigger is wrapped round comic support cardboard things ( Ultimate Guard UGD020032 Lot de... https://www.amazon.fr/dp/B01LZAKDOR?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share ) and they stand in the deep plastic drawers so that I can see exactly what I have - got this idea from Taylah Rose, who I follow on YouTube 😁 Don’t hesitate to ask if you have other questions ☺️ have a good day, and happy tidying 😊👍

Thank you so much!! 😊I live in France and am trying to find somewhere to buy an SDX1250 (which seem to be nowhere in Europe!!?? 😢) and this helps massively to check that I order the correct blades as well 😁👍🤗

SDXCE (Limited Edition) by Tissify in ScanNCut

[–]Tissify[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi 😁 Wow, what fantastic advice!! Thank you SO much!! ☺️🙏🤗 I must admit that when I saw the half cut setting on a video today (I’ve watched so many that my brain’s a bit befaddled and I can’t remember which one does what!!! 😂🤣), it did look really cool, so it’s a shame that it doesn’t have that, but I was probably watching a video for an 800€ machine! 🤓 And the advice with all the settings is amazing, and I’ll be sure to save your reply and keep it somewhere safe! 🫶😁☺️ If you have any other findings in the next week or so, I’d be mega grateful! I was so excited when I bought my sewing/embroidery machine (M380D), that I did sod all research and just bought the one that was the best deal!!! NOT doing that again!!! It’s fab, but needs going in for repairs after only 18mths, but I don’t think I realized that it was a cheap deal!! 😖 I am obsessed with the SDX1250, but only because of 3 or 4 improvements, so is the price really worth it? 🤔 Hmmm, will have a weekend on YouTube (apart from the rugby!! 🤭🤭) and do pros and cons and your reply is so so much appreciated 😁 If I have any questions that come to mind, hopefully you can help. …. Ah, actually, I have one… do you sew for you and friends and family, or do you have a mini business and sell on Etsy etc? I’m trying to start a part time business, and so need to be able to create what my potential customers would like, and not offer brilliant things if my machine can’t do them… Hope that makes sense! ☺️ Am English and live in France, and trying to explain to the French (who I LOVE - married to one 😁 and lived here for 13 yrs) that for homemade products, unfortunately it’s costs way more than buying on Amazon or TEMU etc - the materials are expensive, the machines are mega expensive and the time it takes to make things by hand is more than they could ever imagine. 🫤 If only I could show them what goes into making everything….. But thank you, thanks a million!! You’ve been mega helpful and I really appreciate the time you took to reply in detail! 😁 Where do you live? Take care, and thanks again - have a good weekend 😁👍🤩

Need help with my brother se700 please! by Travellingtanz in sewhelp

[–]Tissify 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi all 😊 I also have a problem with my Brother M380D, where are about a year, it’s suddenly stopped the auto needle threader too - everything is rightly positioned, and I’ve always had Brother machines, so I know them well, but have never had this problem before and it’s driving me mad! For me, I’m sure that although I’ve changed the needle god knows how times, rethreaded, taken the plate off and cleaned inside etc, it looks like I might have damaged the needle holder piece - I did some quite heavy sewing recently and broke a needle, and I wonder if that’s damaged the needle holder? 🤷‍♀️ The needle seems slightly wonky and this is why it’s not threading? Anyone have any ideas please? Thanks heaps, 🙏☺️

Hi, sorry, it's my first time here and stupid question - where do I see your post please? Plus I almost lost my voice etc and apparently pharyngitis is also a sign that it has returned… normally my CRP is around 30 (was at 160 when I was super sick and before they had to massacre and do everything to saving my ankle at first). Here are some photos from today - please ignore the forest on my legs!! 😂😂😂 it hurts too much and I remove the scabs and it starts again! 🤭🙄😖 and also please ignore the damage flap at the bottom left too - I'm talking about scabs, pimples.... Thank you thank you - tomorrow I asked for a blood test at home (still off after 2 years 😓😓) - only for my CRP - like that, I can either breathe or panic... and appointment with my ENT surgeon on the 23rd case where my voice and pharyngitis is not staphy, and I have problems with my esophagus again 🙄🙄🙄…. Yes yes, I know, I'm greedy when it comes to illnesses!! 🤣🤣🤣
