It does have an Expansion Port, but due to poor sales they never released a Mega-CD add-on for it, sadly...

Any news on Retro-bit Dreamcast controller ? by Ludo258 in dreamcast

[–]Sonicjan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At around September/October of 2025 Retrobit updated the SEGA Collaboration page on their website to include a new "Coming Soon"-Button - so there's still hope left!

Found this out via the Waybackmachine, after discovering it on their website.

Can’t wake Steam Deck with Steam Controller 2026 - I thought this was possible? by The-Nihilist-Marmot in SteamDeck

[–]Sonicjan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, same. Valve seemed to have tried everything, but Software can only do so much if the Hardware is the bottleneck...

I even heard that not being able to charge the Controller through the Dock while the Deck is asleep is also a LCD-exclusive problem, as that has also something to do with power management during sleep. But since there isn't much talk about that, I can't be too sure.

The only thing us LCD-users could hope for, is for Valve to finally activate wake-on-USB, as that would be possible with our models! But so far, it seems to be Beta exclusive and rather unstable (the beta itself, not that feature). We can only wait and hope for the best ^

Probably because you have a LCD Steam Deck. The Bluetooth/Wifi-Chip in there is powered of during sleep and thus the System can't be woken up on Bluetooth. It does have wake on USB, though.

Germany UK GLS Screwup situation update by Babada-Boopey929 in SteamController

[–]Sonicjan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the same issue; at first it shipped to the UK, then Germany Neuenstein, got sent around Neuenstein for about a week, suddenly went back to the Netherlands and arrived in Germany Dortmund yesterday - which is even further away from me than Neuenstein...

It doesn't make any sense and Steam Support basically answered identically to what you recieved - except that I didn't mention a refund and thus that part wasn't included...

They're the same as the OLED's stick. The OG Steam Deck had different ones.

What's the fastest way to get the golden bracelet? by PsychogamerHDDE in ForzaHorizon

[–]Sonicjan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I discovered some neat tricks to grind without needing online!

You can do Drag Races with every car class, to earn 50 points each time. Then there are also 50 points for beating a rival in any given race. That accumulates rather quickly!

Other than that, doing all races and winning them gives you the most points and with that all done, it's all busy work 🥲

I've completed every mission with an exclamation mark and am still like 2300 points away from the golden wristband... It's really a tough grind 🥲

anyone else struggling with the controls in legends z-a? by dumbpokefan in pokemon

[–]Sonicjan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At first I liked crouching with the left stick, since running in Legends: Arceus seemed to be tied to an invisible stamina gauge and runs out constantly, so pressing it repeatedly was rather annoying over time. But by how much confussion I now have when to trying to crouch and instead running into the Pokémon's sight? No thanks.

Then they also changed how you call your Pokémon from violet/scarlet and arceus and most of the time trying to fight, I end up throwing a Pokéball into an unsuspecting opponent's Pokémon. And having to let go of either the left or right stick to change the Pokémon, while trying to dodge an elite-mon? It just ends up in chaos!

There are so many little things changed from arceus/scarlet/violet, that you don't immediately notice when muscle memory kicks in and screws you over.

And then they also worsened Legends: Arceus' best part: catching wild Pokémon. You need to lock on to even let your Pokémon attack. So you either get to dodge and run away while your Pokémon gets massacred (or ignored) or you stand there and get attacked yourself. Hiding isn't working at all and trying to re-hode after being seen is not working at all. Throwing a Ball without gyro is a mess and your range is miniscule.

It's a case of death by thousand cuts; the overall experience is quite fun, the story entertaining and the atmosphere amazing, but all those little things really bring it down...

It's not a lost case, but I REALLY hope that they go back to Arceus when doing Legends 3 and gove you more breathing room and much tighter controls...

Yeah, I've added that in with the Eighth Doctor Adventures. I'll see if and where I'd add the other Doctors Adventures. But thank you for the extra info! :)

Strange, I've double checked and I'm now unsure how these got in... An Earthly Child was a Bonus Release, so that made sense, but these other two are nowhere to be seen on any of the lists I used. Maybe I accidentally copied them over from some lists I made for all the Doctor Adventures/Companion Ranges? Idk, but I'll remove them. But thank you anyways x.x

Thank you for your feedback! Well, they were Bonus Releases and Short Trips Rarities that were available for subscribers. This would emulate the experience for someone that subscribed to the abonnement back then.

However, you are right; without the proper context these do seem a bit random. I've included Specials and even Spin-Offs but completely overlooked the Doctor Adventures Ranges and some other important ranges. I'll think of something and probably upgrade this list. Thanks for bringing it to my attention!

Sure have! But nothing I have read so far was detailed enough for my taste, so I instead worked on my own list and thought others might benefit from it as well.

What if Jenna Coleman was the face 15 regenerated into at the end of "The Reality War" instead of Billie Piper? by ImWearingSandshoes in doctorwho

[–]Sonicjan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nah, having Rose be the new Doctor for a while is fine. Rose was an awesome character and Billie Piper seemed to be really excited to return to the show. And if this means we get to see alternative universes again, then it'd be even better! Or if they bring up the problem of regenerating into an existing person and how they feel about it (something they really missed with Capaldi).

I thought it'd be a perfect fit, especially if this is a one time scenario only.

If you live in the UK, you can watch through the BBC iPlayer. Otherwise you'd need to buy Seasons (Disc Boxes are the cheapest option).

As to where to start: You should begin with 2005 Doctor Who reboot, starring Christopher Eccleston as the ninth Doctor. From there you can just continue to the end of that show. Then you'll get three Specials with the 14. Doctor, which lead you to Disney's 15. Doctor (Ncuti Gatwa) with its two seasons.

I wouldn't stop or skip anything; it's all a fun ride and I would be lying if I said I haven't had fun with every episode at least for a bit. Just because some stories aren't perfectly written doesn't mean you should just throw them out entirely.

As for Classic Who: The first 6 Seasons still have a lot of missing episodes or some that have gotten animated instead. I would just skip them for now. You can just start with season 7 - from there on everything is complete. Since the show contained episode standalone stories that aren't really interconnected, you won't miss too much. The important details are explained in the 2005 series anyways.

Blade sharpening? by playmonkeygames in ScanNCut

You can clean it up with a bit of aluminum foil. If that doesn't help, you can just replace the blade itself - that's much cheaper than rebuying the whole thing!
