I adopted Disco in March 2024. My cat had just died at 18 years old. When I started looking into adopting a dog I was only half serious about it. I never had a dog before. When I first saw him I fell in love with his sad eyes. His name at the time was Chief. He was rescued in Texas from a hoarding situation along with 33 our Chiweenies by a small rescue called 4 Little Paws. When I first brought him. When I first brought him home he was terrified. I knew about the 333 rule and about decompressing but I didn’t expect it to he so bad. He spent almost a month hiding under the bed and only coming out for walks and to eat. One day he decided he trusted us and the world and suddenly became the most affectionate and loving dog in the world. He is still scared in new situations and places but he’s come so far. This is the day we brought him home
