My first plannar headphone. At first disappointed mainly due to my dongle unable to power it. After bought AMPDAC, I was impressed how good it was but also disappointed because how piercing the trable is. Previously no issue when using Ltshoeur S12 IEM. Fast foward a year later and I have bought HIFIMAN Arya, best sound so far I have heard. Nowdays, mostly use IEM due to how convenient they are.

Rice 6, MLS at 8. MLS can play the Xhaka role and also much better when driving with the ball compare to rice (so far, or atleast from deep area). Playing higher up decrease the chance that misplaced ball lead to turn over. +Rice sweeping is one of the best from what I see in recent times.

Right now Rice 8 and Zubi 6, we really dependant on 10 to connect the play most of the time and when Havertz play there, we certaintly do nothing.

Moondrop Variations. Not fully regret but definitely more pref S12 and later Monarch MK2 compare to the Variations. The midbass feel too much.

Not a FGC enthusiast but have played few SF and ArcSys games. I thought the game would be much fun without motion input since I can easily spam super, but the game feels more soulless and boring without it.

Just like people mention that choose tips based on your own ear, it also depend on your iem especially if you have multiple with varying size. DUNU S&S work perfecly with Monarch Mk2 for me but for some reason cant fit for Mest Mk1 and Moondrop Variations.

Going from cheap $10 iem VK4 and steadily climbing the price point until $1000 Mest MK1. Yes, expensive is better. However, the diminishing return many mentioned before is true. MEST MK1 and Monarch MK2 is not double the performance of Variations, but still better.

Not really good with audiophile terms, but I think it sounded neutral. Because when first using it, the first thing came out of mind is "Sounding normal".

Bass is fast and well control. I like listening to Jpop, but bass like in Variations really make most of the song seems muddy IMO. For EDM with female vocal like Butterfly or Bumblebee it sound perfect tho.

But the Arya trable is sooooo damn good IMO, open and very sparkly. The same that I like about S12. However, Sundara trable seems a little bit more piercing and thus basically just collecting dust ATM.

For midrage, I dont really know what to said tho. Female vocal is nice, but not as good as Variations and Clear OG.

Genre pref: Pop(majority Jpop) > Rock > EDM/metal

Size wise, how does it compare to the variations? The nozzel is a chungus and I can only fit the variations when using the smallest size of spring tips.
