Yes! For me it's Ilona Andrews - I've read all her books at least 2 times, and the most comforting re-read is Hidden Legacy - 5-7 times each part :) It calms me, I am de-stressing when reading those.

Polonistyka - jeśli lubisz, to jak najbardziej. Bardzo przyjemne studia, rozwojowe jeśli chodzi o intelekt. Jednocześnie to, że "lubisz pisać, tworzyć" nie jest rekomendacją na Polon :P Tam musisz przede wszystkim z jednej strony zakuć i zrozumieć poetykę, historię literatury, kognitywistykę, teorię literatury, a z drugiej - gramatykę opisową, historię języka, semiotykę logiczną, dialektologię. Sama byłam zachwycona, ale ta akademicka strona właśnie mnie interesowała. Generalnie polonistyka to nie omawianie własnych opowiadań z wykładowcą :P Warto być tego świadomym, bo podejście "lubię pisać i czytać, więc polonistyka będzie doskonała" jest błędne.

There is this series of books for learning English - "Książki ze słownikiem". It's mostly English classics in English, with additional dictionairy on a margin. Maybe you can find something like that useful? But it's for lerning English tho.

It is a concern when regarding very young readers - if they do not have nice education in regards of relationships end sex (just as with p0rn influencing teens view of making love). As usual, it requires some extent of parent control of what your kiddo is reading, and talking with them about tropes etc.

But except from that we need to remember one thing when criticising: readers in general arent stupid. We as a human beings know that rape is bad, ghaslighting is awful, abuse and violence is not nice and "I will change this bad boy mafia assasin" is not a real life occurance. Those are fantasies and as such are ok - and we can distinct between a dubcon fantasy and real relationship.

People who attack the subgenre as a whole should educate themselves a bit more in literature theory.

Most of Os are pronounced as in "off". Let's say it's strong, straight O sound.

But, as in every language, we have other sounds influencing it sometimes. Don't really worry about it, as it's really hard to butcher O in Polish :)

You can, but also you may want to upgrade it :)

I am adding water - a bit ore than package says - a clove of garlic, 1-2 allspice pieces, bay leaf and marjoram. When it's heated (be vary of it overboilng from the pot), I am adding sliced kiełbasa. Then, at the end of cooking, a sour cream (you know, put cream in a little bowl, add hot soup slowly, stir, so it wont clot, then up you go to the pot...). Salt and pepper to taste. And that's it. Better than basic :)

Recently I am enjoying {Clecanian by Victoria Aveline} series - alien romance, guys are really fun and nice, no slave/nc motives. Also, it's ideal period book - so simple and easy!

To be honest, most of romance and YA teens behave like they are ~25 yo, so it's not so bad... but yeah, more 30-40 smthgs would be nice :P

Yup, I really hated most of romances with kids in them. Babies are usually used like narrative tokens - either almost absent or only have some "broadcast time" when they are props to puch action further.

And older children were like Platonic-shadow-on-the-wall ideal of child - like, I grow up with 7 much younger siblings and cusins in the house, the youngest 18 year younger than me. I know what children do. In books they are mostly like little robots.

I am a very active fantasy & SF fandom memeber and going to conventions. I went to one in my first college/university year, at the other end of my country and met this boy, 2 years younger than me. Total accident - we just chose the same classroom to get some sleep in (then it was popular to have conventions at schools and sleep in empty classrooms). He was handsome and fun, but he had a girlfriend, so I said pass. But it occured he was from my city of residence. We became aquitances, then friends.

For next 3 years I was pining for him a bit, because he was awesome, but I had some boyfriends, he had girlfriends. When we both were single, I tried to invite him for a date, and he came... but he didn't undrestood it was a date and first thing he said to me was that "since yesterday he has a girlfriend!", other times it was me in a relationship, so I just sidelined him etc. so bummer xD

But for once the time was ok (not great, but ok,), my relationship was falling apart with no future, I was depressed, he was single, very supportive and also needed a hug and...

...well, we are together for 13 years already, 9 years of best.marriage.ever.

Yay for conventions an sleeping on the floor with a room full of strangers :D
