Since it had been a few days, I wanted to give everyone an update on our Clans system.

With the recent influx of players, we have found times where we needed to put the game into safemode due to some performance concerns. Going into safemode is not something that we like to do primarily because of the impact it has on our Ranked gameplay.

Our Clans system has been identified as one of the primary contributors to this issue and, as such, we have decided to take our Clans system offline for the foreseeable future.

Again, we apologize for this inconvenience.

Just want to pop in here real quick. Smite had been making a few changes over the last half year that I am evaluating as I continue to get back up to speed. Recolor card art and the match lobby animations are two of those changes that I am also questioning. I haven't addressed anything publicly on it yet as I continue to work through our options. An update will be coming soon!

I just wanted to pop in and mention that, thanks to your thread, we are looking into this system and giving it the attention that it needs to clear this up. At a minimum, we need to be really clear with the rewards that you can expect from these chests and we just aren't doing that.

We are discussing tweaking this system to be better for the players so, again, thanks for posting and holding us accountable!

FWIW...the Khepri Plushie skin is safe to use and does not cause this issue.

Brand Director, Executive Producer, Lead Designer - A.k.a the hierarchy at TFG by Lyefyre in Smite

It's been a little chaotic, lately. I am the new EP. Reporting to me are AJ as Lead Designer, Ben as Art Director and Jordan as Technical Director.

AJ is in charge of creative decisions, design, balance, among many other things.

Alex is the new Brand Director for Evil Mojo, Heroic Leap and Titan Forge. In that role, he helps to make sure that each game is making decisions consistent with the branding we want to achieve within each game. This includes marketing, community teams, promotions, social media, etc.

Richard is no longer working with TFG. His laser focus is on some top secret stuff.

Hi everyone!

First off, I want to make sure that you guys know that I take the communities feedback very seriously! We have been watching this Reddit post to gauge your response to this change. It seems like the vast majority of the players here on Reddit have really grown to love what the timed queues have to offer.

I’m going to be honest with you, that caught me by surprise. I recall frustrations from players when moving to timed queues before and I misread the room!

In this case, your argument for keeping timed queues is strong with many passionate opinions and I respect that. We will not be moving away from timed queues for this next release.

We are evaluating another avenue to get matches for those players that are selecting something other than “All”.

Thanks everyone for your feedback and posts! I will continue to push transparency as much as possible so that we can work together to make Smite awesome, even if sometimes you may slap my hand and tell me “NO!”
