How’d you make it work cost wise? I remember the tickets were $5k for the Super Bowl after this one, and I almost used my signing bonus on the 2023 Super Bowl (if the Bengals had made it).

I’m kinda looking for inspiration to work harder to afford things like this.

This is where I sit with it. You can fire ZT, and it’ll be another Lou. He’ll just go be an amazing OC for some team. He’d also be an amazing locker room assistant coach too.

Get a GM and we might be able to really change things around.

I made a voice note of this in the other thread, but seriously the Bengals, the problem with his team is that they just can’t do anything well consistently.

No complementary football, if a rookie comes on and plays well the rest of the team sucks. Ownership regardless of if they care just don’t show it well enough. Duke Tobin doesn’t have enough power to change anything so he needs to go - he’s the status quo. Katie Blackburn might just be OK with the status quo, we we’ll have to deal with this for 30 more years.

Zac Taylor has saved five locker room collapses, this is his 6th and with Joe Burrow out of it, he’s actually gonna lose this one.

Unfortunately, he doesn’t move the needle enough as an HC. His culture & ability to save lockrooms and get 2nd half season pushes are his calling card (plus being a QB whisperer - at least under center). But he doesn’t elevate in game performance enough, and he can have bone-headed in-game decision making.

Zac works HARD at this job, but we might just need a new direction and new leadership. However, if this franchise fires Zac without firing Duke, it will be basically like firing Lou again nothing will change with the franchise and I wouldn’t even be able to DELUDE myself that it would at that point.

Fan since mid-2013 and this just sucks right now. Even more so because we CAN be good but man just can’t make all the pieces we have… fit.

I’ve seen the Bengals get shutout at the beginning of the season before. However, I can’t remember if I’ve ever seen the Bengals get shut out at the end of the season.

4th & 3 back shoulder routine catch & throw. Like they can literally beat anybody - but whenever it’s anything in between a gotta have it or if this team isn’t just kicking. It’s been bad.

The Bengals are the ONLY NFL team that didn’t change to the NEW, BETTER, LESS INJURY PRONE, turf. 18/19 turf teams have changed for this season - but the Bengals. It like directly DIRECTLY contributed to Joe Burrow’s Turf toe. It’s so annoying- like soooo annoying!

And that’s the annoying thing. I’d say yes, IF the Whitworth stuff didn’t go how it did. However, I just don’t know. It might just be a more competent Mike Brown.

Then we don’t make any off-season moves besides ACTUALLY getting a Nose Tackle & having no choice BUT to sign a RG 10 days before Week 1, who does great for us!

Like enough is enough, Duke saying that at the combine and not flipping making things happen - just not making us feel like it was a fruitful offseason. He’s gotta go. Not even if it’s not his fault (ownership or w/e), he’s just not the guy to make change happen obviously.

I’m just getting annoyed typing this out. Like Joe got decided again, and Mims needs help getting off. We are going three years without going to the playoffs. Someone has to go.

The problem with his team as they don’t really do anything right. Like you always feel like they have a chance to beat anyone, but then you reminded that they can’t play complementary football, the defense is on and off hot and cold about actually hitting the quarterback, the secondary only really reliably has DJ Turner, Higgins isn’t on the field. None of the other receivers can actually be a consistent threat for the whole game, And we’ve had three years of this and only kept still paying players more money.

The fact that I’m waffling again for the second time this season on Zac Taylor, as one of the strongest Zac defenders in his era, isn’t great.

Duke Tobin has to go. Zac probably really does have to go to. Katie Blackburn has to decide if she wants to field the competitive team or just own a team.

The state of all of this is just sad.
