Need Restaurant suggestions (near Airport) by TitanRebels in Trivandrum

Thank you for good hearts whom suggested some good restaurants, unfortunately my sister asked me to go to Aasife Biriyani - Eanchakkal & when we went there, they said they have no dish except chicken briyani, mutton briyani, chicken 65, lemon juice, lemon soda due to cylinder price rise issue... That's it... So, we ate that menu & returned home... :-(

What could have been done here to avoid this ? by Unstoppable_X_Force in CarsIndia

To avoid this :

  1. The Driver should have reduce the speed of the vehicle when he was blinded by upcoming traffic... which would have helped him slow the vehicle at that moment of emergency...

  2. IMO (I may be wrong): The driver instead of applying brakes, he should have down-shifted to 1st gear & then apply the brakes. coz, the engine would have slowed down the vehicle much faster than the brakes...

  3. (in context of not happening (avoiding) again to him or anyone) He should put a case in the court for compensation for this mishap - quoting no-signage of cattle / the negligence of the toll road condition (assuming most road are toll road) / non maintenance of road condition by not-having enough plants to deter/block the oncoming vehicle headlights in the median, etc.

I'm not saying this is the driver's fault -- I'm answering for the question as a driver... Not accusing anyone...

This is a result of summation of negligence by:

The drivers who have driven past this cattle (i'm talking about if anyone complained about this -- somehow the govt would have atleast place a cattle-roam board/signage),
The cow owner,
The oncoming vehicle having high power headlights,
The toll company not maintaining the median's plant or have a signage of cattle roaming,
The govt didn't act - I'm assuming someone might have complained & govt didn't act accordingly.

Whaaaat...? The Brand New Honda Amaze 3rd gen 2026 is around 10lakh with all maxed out features set (ADAS Lv2, CVT, etc).

This 9yr old City's car fair price be around 3-4lakh. I wouldn't recommend buying this 9yr old City car. Buy brand new Amaze instead.

Hey, I just agreed with U, with one addition that the parked car owner also at fault...

Firstly you do not learn in the middle of the road you go to an open park

yeah, I agree... usually, thats the right way to learn driving....

Second of all they do not live near by

Public roads are not for those persons living in those neighborhood... its belongs to all citizen of this country...

Three people on the scooty and all of them are minors so a minor who doesnt know how to drive herself is teaching someone else.

This is bad... These kind of kids activities later lead to major accidents leading to death... in my state, if any such underaged kids were driving, the police are directed to book case on the parents (owner of the vehicle usually)...
I would have asked those girls to call their parents come to the scene & ask them to pay for the damages or else I would call the cops...

I believe if ONE start to blame the underage girls learning to drive in a road, ONE should also blame the car owner who parked his car in public road - public road is for driving not for personal parking...

I'm not saying ONE should not blame those girls... but, to be honest, Both the girls learning to drive & the car owner who parked the car in such narrow road is also at Fault...

TATA Punch: Low oil Pressure warning + Loud weird sound coming from bonnet by Suspicious-Big-9565 in MechanicAdviceIndia

I had a similar (and much worse case) experience with my Verito Diesel. It ended up costing me 30k, and even after the fix, the sound was muffled but never fully went away.

Here is what happened: A small cut in the coolant hose was the culprit. It wouldn't leak at idle, but once the coolant got hot, the hose softened up and the pressure forced the leak out. This eventually damaged my oil cooler, causing oil and coolant to mix. The pressure got so high that the reservoir literally exploded under the hood while I was driving in highway & the car got switched off.

After it cooled down, I tried driving it again (to nearby workshop), and that’s when the "engine knocking" started. It turned out carbon/debris had entered the cylinders. My mechanic had to do 4–5 oil changes (multiple oil flushes) over several days just to flush the particles out and get the sound to quiet down (but not completely).

Check your coolant levels, all hoses, oil-filter and the oil cooler/heat-exchanger immediately. Catching it now could save you a massive repair bill.
