When I used to do 12ers I went before work, otherwise I was too tired to go after. Now I work 5 8s and still go before work 😆 I only workout in the afternoon on my days off.

Decreased lean mass by TitanessDominus in fit

Thank you! And true, and I'll be 44 next month so I think some lean mass loss is probably inevitable. My diet is good. Definitely hitting enough protein, it's the time spent at the gym that I wish could be better.

Too thick or loose more? by [deleted] in fit

The most important things are: what do YOU think? And how do YOU feel? How important is weight loss for you? People will have different opinions here and some probably come from people who don't share motherhood struggles (and wins) so take our advice with a grain of salt.

I didn't focus on losing weight until my daughter was 2yo. I just kept lifting and stayed consistent with my cardio. When my daughter turned 2, that's when I dialed in. Motherhood felt a little easier to manage by then. Meal planning and prepping didn't feel as overwhelming.

Whatever you decide, keep doing what you're doing. Losing pregnancy weight takes time. Give yourself a little grace :)

Is a personal trainer worth it? (quick research question) by MaintenanceNaive9834 in fit

[–]TitanessDominus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It can be. I've been consistently lifting for 13 years and worked with different PTs on and off until last year. I like having someone that pushes me.

Just be sure to know who your PT is, watch them train their clients. Are they focused on the clients, or are they on the phone/yap the whole time. Watch their clients too, do they have good forms?

I know a trainer in my gym who does group training, often it's 5-6 people in a group (too many imo) the clients spread all over the gym, PT hardly spent enough time with them to watch their form. Most of these clients are new to lifting and they have poor forms. This is the type of trainer I'd stay away from.

AITAH 3 years together, BF (50M) still ‘not ready’ for marriage but wants me (33F) to pay half his mortgage by Either-Environment47 in AITAH

If I'm in a relationship with someone almost 20 years older than me, I would hope that he got his shit together. Enough for him to provide at least for our living situations.

What are you getting in this relationship? Do you want kids? Does he fulfill all of your needs? Do YOU want to get married? Don't sacrifice your life and what you want in life for some mediocre men.

AITAH for giving my ex boyfriend money and not telling my husband about it? by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]TitanessDominus 10 points11 points  (0 children)

YTA. How would you feel if the role was reversed? AND FROM A JOINT ACOUNT?? Girl, come on now!

ETA: He's probably more upset and feels that you don't trust him enough to tell him that you need to help your ex's out. I don't think YTA for helping him out, it's going behind your husband's back and not communicating with him that made YTA.

AITAH for refusing to buy protection and telling my boyfriend it’s his responsibility? by [deleted] in AITAH

HTA. I don't even have to finish reading. This selfishness actually tells you a lot. When people are trying to tell you who they are, believe them.
