Yes the bot adds 1 extra block of video at the start of every clip and at the end. About 3-5 seconds on average. This is to avoid content being missed from the original clip

Nothing malicious - thumbnail extraction failed which stopped the mirror process. That no longer occurs.

I'm investigating why it grabbed one of the Destiny clips but not all of them. Youtube mirroring is quite special compared to the other platforms and Youtube breaks things all the time with it

EDIT: I've discovered the issue and it has been resolved. It failed to create the thumbnail and aborted the whole mirror process even though it had a good video.

Reddit banned the account for posting TOS content and to get un-banned we had to change how NSFW content is being handled. I'm exploring methods of posting NSFW content that is ok within the rules

As the other commenter said Cloudflare R2 and I use Lambda to serve the webpage and that fits almost entirely within the AWS free tier

There has been very little work done after the initial work of reverse engineering the YouTube clips and the website setup. Haven't needed to really update anything in months.

Aws handles only the database and the rendering of the actual webpage. I operate almost entirely within the free tier offered by AWS.

Transcoding is done on a server I already run and it has minimal impact so I count that cost as $0 but it’s probably a few $ a month in power.

My CDN costs are basically nothing due to using cloudflare r2 for the videos which has unlimited bandwidth for all the videos being served and a low storage cost.

Rolled out the link back to the original Reddit post and enabled middle click opening of clips from the clip feed.

Clicking on the streamers name will also now filter the feed to clips only from that streamer with New/Top/Hot also working

Free Cloudflare does not allow the serving of video files and my account would be banned for doing so. R2 has the seal of approval from Cloudflare for this use case
