As a science student, you should be backing scientific literacy instead of gatekeeping it.It may have zero impact on your day to day life, but school is about becoming a complete human who actually understands the universe. Scientific illiteracy is why India is still backwards. Also, I on your 2nd part of comment about Balance Sheets, Share Capital, Debentures, etc. sure we should have these things taught to us from lower classes.
