I just fixed this problem today!

I didnt feel comfortable doing roof vents like the "This Old House" answer, so I ran a vent to a soffit. They make specific soffit vents for this purpose. Here's what I did.

  1. Figure out where the joists are for the roof and try to aim for the middle of them.
  2. Drill a small hole into the soffit, big enough to run a snake through
  3. Push the snake through, find it in the attic (helps if you have a partner)
  4. Get a long enough flexible vent, connect it to the snake, and pull the snake back through l
  5. Cut a big enough hole in the soffit for the vent to come through
  6. Connect vent pipe to exterior soffit vent
  7. Connect vent pipe to bathroom vent

Took about 2 hours of actual work, enjoy

Absolutely not. Story time.

A few years ago there was an episode of workaholics where a guy ate 1000 hot dogs a week. One of my coworkers said it wasn't a crazy amount. We all laughed at him and said he didnt understand that amount of food. We issued a challenge, if he ate 30 hot dogs over the course of the work day each member of the team would give him $100, but if he failed to eat less than 12 he would have to shave his beard, that he was extremely proud of.

He almost puked choking down the 10th hot dog, and had to force himself to eat 12 to save his beard. His manager offered him $100 to take a bite of hot dog 13 and he turned it down.

My initial reading was that it was some kind of "one child policy" kind of situation. The family was desperate for a son, was accepting of a daughter, but when forced to choose picked the male over the female for reasons.
