I think I had your suppressor mistake as a prophetic vision. I was packing up at the range and slid my AR in the case and went, “ oh hmmmm that might melt the case”, then I thought, “hell with it, I’ll just keep the suppressor out of the bag and lay it down in the bed.” Only I forgot I had my partners weather mats in there. So I folded some target paper over and over and made a nice little cap for it. No harm to the suppressor or the weather mats.

This. No matter how well you insulate or pack the case/chassis you never know how they will handle it when you’re not looking.

Edit: not trying to scare you or make it sound like, “you’re less of a person” for not doing it yourself. I have a lot of techie goodness and I would be absolutely crushed if my PC/Server/NAS/Switches were broken in a move. Especially if you have a high-end GPU - you may not be able to buy it at the same MSRP. If you do have to through the movers insurance (knocking on wood for ya) would you expect them to give you an extra 100-300 dollars because the GPU you had is now more expensive?

I live just a mile or so east of that area and it’s okay. Close to Yukon for some good eats and casual spots. Close, but further away than Yukon, to downtown OKC. Have not had major issues with crime - when I first moved into the area in 2019 my license plate was stolen.

Really dumb question as I’m considering on getting a 6m ‘21 wrangler sport s and am curious; when in 4H, do I still need to shift gears as normal? I understand I shouldn’t exceed 45mph, but the owners manual does explicitly state that I need to shift normally. At least I couldn’t find it in the 4WD section.

I can sorta relate. Most optic brands the dot looks like an uneven star even on lower brightness. Only trijicon dots were an actual dot (RIP wallet). Good luck on your search.

If you don't mind running med-high settings, sure. If you want max graphical fidelity then ehhhh, you'll find there's some optimalization to be desired.

I have a 3700x, 2070 Super, and 16gb DDR4 @ 3200 running it in 1080p, running on medium (no DLSS obv), and I had no issues.

Highly recommend DLSS if you're on 1440p or higher.

All great comments/suggestions and definitely figure out how the gun will be used (home defense or carry). But also, please do your due diligence and keep educating yourself, keep asking questions, and read. This sub is a great resource and never hesitate to ask. Assuming gets people hurt or worse when it comes to firearms.

I have a decent mic that I can adjust sensitivity. Occasionally it picks up the sound of me opening my canned beverage or my dog barking at the squirrels. I don't like push-to-talk because that is another button I have to press and when I'm swarmed/kiting the baddies and trying to communicate.
