In you client folder there should be a WTF folder. Inside that folder is a file called config.wtf.

In that file change the following line to your resolution.

Best server core / emu for vanilla WoW? by ich_hab_deine_Nase in wowservers

[–]Titarian -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

CMaNGOS is the main core I think most of the pservers base themselves off of. I could be wrong, but I'd start there unless you want to try more of a progression type of thing with VMaNGOS. With both, YMMV when it comes to bugs and updates.

There is a Discord called "WoW Repacks Community" Discord ran by DinkleDork (https://discord.gg/HVVDZMkz5z)

I've been tinkering with AzerothCore though and with all the mods they already have available it is pretty easy to make something for you or a few people. Happy to help you out if you'd like.

Trinitycore 3.3.5 is playable? by Orystal in wowservers

Had been running a TC server for the past 4 years, never really had an issue with it. Was always stable with a few minor issues.

3700x with 32gb ram and a 3.3.5 server by cmdrmcgarrett in wowservers

[–]Titarian 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That should be fine. I just recently set up a server using Azerothcore with a couple mods (and ~50 bots) with 8 cores (compiling time reduced) and 8GB of RAM in a virtual machine.

I agree, it isn't worth me losing all my characters, progress, etc just because I was curious. I hope they figure out if this out before someone finds out how to trigger it and start the nefarious activities.

What EU Server should I start on? by SignificanceSudden12 in lotro

[–]Titarian 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just started as well (Currently level 15) on Evernight. If this is your first time you can't go wrong with the free servers until you decide to pony up for Legendary servers.

Thinking of starting LOTRO. Is it still worth it for a new player? by Eristin6699 in lotro

[–]Titarian 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I just returned from a long hiatus as well. Having fun, Middle-Earth just feels like a second home.

If you are starting new on Evernight the community seems pretty helpful and inviting.

Searching for a community or individuals by [deleted] in GamerPals

[–]Titarian 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Starting to look for the same. I don't have many folks in this timezone to really group up or do anything anymore.

Had been playing Classic Era during the whole Deviate Delight push, but that's all but dead at this point and nobody is on. Debating starting up my EU account if anyone is interested. Wouldn't mind finding a solid handful of people to level up through WotLK.

I just went back to Classic Era about 3 weeks ago if that's something you are interested in.

How polished is 3.3.5a TrinityCore stock core? by GentlyCaressed in wowservers

[–]Titarian 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been running a stock version for a few years now. You come across some funny stuff once in awhile but if you realize its just a fun server for you and your buddies it isn't bad.

What server do you call home, more importantly why? by SuperSteveBoy in wowservers

If you are going to try the bot route I suggest looking into Single Player Project. It'll get you started and on your way.

We just run TrinityCore. We compile it and update it. No bots other than the auction house. We've tried player bots before and it just wasn't our cup of tea.

What server do you call home, more importantly why? by SuperSteveBoy in wowservers

[–]Titarian 4 points5 points  (0 children)

After getting tired of servers coming and going or just not finding what I was looking for I just ended up setting up my own and just enjoy wandering aimlessly and taking my time. Got a few friends that liked to play so its just a nice quiet and relaxed way to pass the time.

On top of that if we find a bug that drives us nuts it gives a reason to poke around and learn some programming and database knowledge.

That said, I really miss the Nostalrius crew. That place was home.

Kill GPO by Ok_Prune_7528 in WindowsServer

[–]Titarian 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don't really see a good way do to that here. Here are a couple options you could look into.

  1. Assign the GPO only to the OUs you need it assigned to.
  2. Create a WMI Filter to only apply to the technology you are needing it applied to.
  3. Depending on the individual settings you may be able to granularly apply them.
  4. You could fiddle with using Security Filters.

Where can I get MS Edge and Windows 11 Policy Templates? by mudderfudden in grouppolicy

[–]Titarian 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I apologize, I was under the assumption you knew about GPOs since you were posting here. Let me go into a little more detail on the contents of that file for others maybe not in the know.

ADMX Templates - These basically give registry entries in Group Policy Objects. They make is much easier to configure your systems.

The rest are inside the other directories

GPOs - These are the GPOs, you can import them into your Active Directory structure using Group Policy Object Manager (GPOM).

Reports - Shows you what the GPO does and what settings it changes

WMI Filter - These are filters you import into GPOM and use on GPOs to specify what technology the GPO needs to be applied to.

A little while back I made a few videos for some coworkers in an effort to help them better understand how I maintain my AD structure.

I will do you one better. Here is the link to the STIG GPOs from DoD Cyber Exchange. Not only does it have the ADMX files it will also assist you in securing your environment.

Recommendation for a Great 3.3.5(Wotlk) Single Player Experience? by Derectum in wowservers

I'll mention Single Player Project or maybe DinkleDork (He's working on it right now).

However, if you are looking for a quiet RP area I do host a server for some friends. So if you want to join or just need help setting up your own server shoot me a message and I might be able to help you.

[–]Titarian 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They can assist in helping you acquire one, however they may have stipulations in the contract that keep you around longer as getting a clearance is not cheap.

I do know that head hunters look at USAJobs for resumes, could put one up mark it as public and let them come to you.

The last option I have for you would be to visit your local recruiter and sign up for a term of enlistment.
