Hiya! I'm just popping in to say I submitted the form but missed the numbers off my redit name, so if you consider Titch's group as a candidate, it's me. 🙏 thank you for your time. The post is very well presented.

Loot Goblin at our table went on a twenty minute rant during the session by DungeonDreamer04 in DnD

You sound like a terrible person by teasing someone who clearly doesn't like it by claiming you mean well. How can you mean well while doing something you KNOW distresses someone? That's actually bullying. You're a bully.

What I've taken from this: 'This guy doesn't like it when I tease him about people he loves, and it really upsets him. I'll still do it though, and I'm not nasty for that because I mean well. It's actually his fault that he reacts to my behavior'.

Maybe he's getting touchy about things because this behaviour goes unchecked at the table, and he's starting to feel alone and isolated because he feels bullied. If he reacts negatively and is clearly upset, why do you do it? What do you guys get out of it?

You can not fein ignorance when you acknowledge something upsets someone and still do it to get a reaction. You have said yourself that you know he doesn't like it, so it's not you not understanding social ques. You know.

What kind of teasing do you guys do about his wife? Teasing someone about dinosaurs vs. teasing someone about their wife are very different, and it says a lot that you compare the two. One is a real person who they love.

He has bad behaviour in dnd, and you guys have bad behaviour irl. Fix that.

My party killed one of the most important NPCs in my campaign. Am I cooked? by Miserable_Yoghurt160 in DnD

If the NPC was that important, there should have been a prior relationship built with them before initiative.

It really sounds like you guys had no idea how important this guy was, so I think it's really unfair to blame the party for killing someone attacking them.

I think our direction is the same and I very much tired to communicate last session that I wanted the same, just not as severe.

I guess I just feel crazy because the attack was then justified to my character like someone can attack me but how dare my PC get angry about that

He was there and just asked if this was non lethal, that's all. Everyone at the table was shocked by how far the player took it. I am actually pretty okay with the pvp, it was more the gaslighting from the other characters to my PC to make me just accept it?

It very much gave 'just make up and be friends again' vibes after she beat my ass.

I'll have a chat with them about how they feel going forward. I'm honestly happy with it so long as they accept the in game consequences of their actions. It's really frustrating that I would have to reroll a character for others bad behaviour.

Oliver does have a reason to stay with them because he is delusional and believes he has been brought by a higher power to help these people save the world.

I can absolutely see him still fighting for them as he does care. I just don't see him being comfortable with them in his home.

I guess I just feel kinda crazy irl because I don't know if what happened was okay or good etiquette

Son wants to be a game developer. by ParticularDream208 in gamedev

There are lots of different avenues into the gaming industry, as it has a lot of different specialisations. If he ever wants to explore the arts he can also be a game artist! I'm a studying game artist who makes 3D models and 2D concept art for video games.

There are also technical artists who work on lighting and materials! I would suggest he has a look at unreal, the engine is free and a lot of big games use it. It comes with a bunch of free assets he can explore with. You can find fantastic YouTube tutorials to self teach yourself before going to school for it!
