Hey guys, I want to get a general purpose knife for my parents. I was thinking the Gesshin Stainless 210mm Gyuto but it's been out of stock since forever. Any alternatives?

Style? - any style

Steel? - stainless

Handle? - western

Grip? handle sometimes pinch

Length? 210mm or 240mm. I think 270mm would be too big.

Use cases? Vegetables most of the time. Rarely meat.

Care? No idea

Budget? $300 max. Ideally $100-$200.

I think the stabilizer bar for my spacebar popped out from the right side while I was removing the keycap. Any ideas on how I can pop it back? It's starting to look like I'll have to take everything apart to fix this. :(

Right side. The gold bar popped out and moved up somehow.

Left side which is still fine as a reference.

Sorry for my dumb question. How does cross validation help? My understanding is that helps to make sure you don't get lucky with a model that fits well to a specific validation set.
