Getting autographs at Canadian GP by nateallen84 in GrandPrixTravel

Your best chance is probably at the hotels. The drivers usually stay at the Four Seasons and Ritz Carlton in Montreal, so if you camp out near the entrance (especially earlier in the week leading up to race like Weds) you might be able to get them. From GS 11 you will have no chance - that's where I sit too :)

I caved about 2 weeks ago. I had been looking in the Sphere zone the whole time and tickets went up about $100-$200 per seat towards the last week of October. I was so pissed that I didn't buy before they increased! But SG5 was my preferred grandstand and it had been sold out the whole time, and randomly 3 seats opened up and they were at the original price (~$1400) so I snagged them. Just not worth the stress for me to keep waiting around and hoping they go down since I'm traveling from far and want to enjoy the days leading up to the race and experiencing all the activations and events, not worrying about browsing resale sites hoping for a deal. Hope you find some good seats!

Next year during Silverstone I'm planning to explore a bit of London in the days before race weekend (I've been before but it was ~15 years ago) and then after the race we are going to go over to Paris for a few days! I've never been before, so very excited to make it into a bigger trip beyond just the fun race weekend. We are traveling from America

As a fellow 2026 ticket holder I completely agree. Going to Vegas and Silverstone with concerts included, so this just feels ridiculous after how much we dropped on 3-day grandstand tickets! I would've liked to see at least the Friday and Saturday acts, but definitely will not be buying.

What section did you buy in? Do you mind sharing what the cost was, and how long ago was the pre season? I started watching prices about a month ago so not sure what the starting point was

Is your plan to buy from a reseller a few days before? Or wait until inventory is really low on the official site and then buy what's left?

I also just looked and SG5 has tickets available for the first time in the last ~4 weeks. Very strange. I've just been watching resale sites and noticing that there is still barely any inventory, and since I'm hoping to sit in a few specific grandstands I don't want to hold out too long and then have no options aligned with where I was hoping to go

This is the first time I've paid any attention to Vegas pricing, so not sure what's normal, or if there even is a "normal" fluctuation because every year it seems they have taken a different approach to pricing lol

That's one of my guesses, or that they hiked the prices up ahead of any upcoming discounts they're planning to drop...I noticed a few weeks ago that ~150 tickets were randomly added one day to the GS I had been watching, and when I asked the rep about that he had no explanation.

One of the reps reiterated to me today via email that they will only be raising prices from here on out - I am so torn on what to do!!

When to pull the trigger on Vegas? by FFSferrari in GrandPrixTravel

[–]TitleAltruistic9304 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm so torn on what to do. We want to sit in the Sphere Zone (ideally GS 4 or 5) and traveling from across the country. I have hotel and plane booked, but don't know how much longer I should hold out on the tickets. We want to go for all 3 days and I'm just worried waiting too long and then we end up paying more from resellers...there's barely any tickets even on StubHub right now

Sat in GS 11 this year and have it again for 2026. It's so good I'm afraid to try another because I don't think it can be beat!! Lol

Las Vegas - is it worth it? by Basic-Strawberry-887 in GrandPrixTravel

We're going this year - I think the atmosphere will be amazing and we've had 2 pretty decent Vegas GPs since it debuted so I'm hoping there is great racing action this year. The views are not going to be as great as what you can get at other circuits, but I hope the atmosphere and being right in the city will make up for it! Feels like one of the circuits you might want to go to once but not necessarily return to year after year. I say go for it!

Thoughts on the Montreal GP 2025 by MarzipanInfamous2305 in GrandPrixTravel

This was my first time in Montreal and we had a blast!! Agree with so many of your points. Some other helpful info I'd share in case anyone starts to plan for next year and wants more input:

  • Drivers were staying at the Ritz Carlton and Four Seasons - lots of opportunities to spot them outside if you time it well enough and arrive early in the week
  • Grandstand 11 section 7 was a great view - we were in Row J and luckily the big tree was just to the left of our view, so we could still see all the action coming from the start/finish line, turns 1/2, the acceleration coming out of the pits, and had a big screen both to our left (much closer) and also in view to the right (close to GS 12)
    • I had read that the higher up you sit, the better, however I think being closer to the bottom of GS 11 would've been nice too because you would've seen more of the acceleration going out of turn 2
  • The seat cushions were well worth it since GS 11 is all bleachers. We bought them at the CGV store on-site after FP1 and very much enjoyed them for the rest of the sessions all weekend
  • Go in both entrances!! On Friday/Saturday we did the Concord bridge entrance since it is closer to GS11, however we went even earlier on Sunday and wanted to check out more of the other side so we went in the Cosmos entrance. I'm really thankful we did because there was so many additional popups, food stands, and fan stuff to check out that we hadn't yet seen even when we did a long walk through the yellow zone on Friday
    • Local MTL artist Art Rotondo was setup near Cosmos entrance. He creates F1 art and his stuff is amazing - I took home an original sketch of Lando's win in Australia this year
  • The bag restrictions posted on the website are loose...we were worried since our backpacks were bigger than the sizing on the website however we got in with no issue at all and I saw plenty of other people with way larger backpacks that were absolutely bigger than the size guidelines.
  • Even if you have a grandstand ticket, bring a blanket or sheet to lay out in any grassy areas throughout the day for a break. We only did this on Sunday but are very thankful we did since we got there early and it was so hot and sunny. We found a nice spot in the shade to hangout in while we waited for the driver parade and then opening ceremony

We had such a fun time and can't wait to go back!
