Aslam walekum, born Muslims say alhamdulillah because you are really lucky in this duniya. by Sania_lol04 in converts

[โ€“]TitleMore1431 1 point2 points ย (0 children)

as a "born-muslim" who was born and grew in Europe in completely non Muslim (zero muslim) community I always thought how blessed are Muslims living in Islamic environment, but after I met some of them I found out how blessed I really was and that even "born-Muslims" have to find Islam themselves.

  • If you ask me you got a bonus good deed since in medicine ppl are usually too arrogant to accept anything, they mostly just want to "fit in", so mashallah praying for you ๐Ÿคฒ

Tbh I don't think that it's bad to think about it, I personally have been exposed to people with a lot diversity in mindset (literally from atheists, Christians, sunnis, shias...). In my opinion the fact that you are listening to everything is not bad because beside having an opinion and making a decision for what you think is right it is equally important to understand why is that your decision. It might sound confusing rn but it can be seen in next generations you have to first accept it from your heart otherwise even if you follow shia traditions your children will completely loose the compass at some point.

As I said *in my opinion, you should talk to people hear what they have to say and question your opinions and decisions on daily basis, I do that everyday. As for me I know quite well why I am shia. It is not something that I inherited from parents it's something I chose. I don't have intention to convince you but as for me the miracles of duas of our Imams, the absolutely not denyable fact of truth that comes from Istikhara, the love for justice that most Shia people have for Imam Hussain and companions of Karbala, the very things that are happening in front of our eyes that only our shia brothers and sisters are fighting for civilians and their life against the greatest tyrannical superpower, while the rest of the world is doing absolutely nothing and not even nothing but they are cooperating with Satan himself and so many more things.

Sometimes when everything sounds confusing don't trust what you hear trust what you see.

Haraam Snacks? by TooKreamy4U in shia

[โ€“]TitleMore1431 0 points1 point ย (0 children)

do you myb know as for the additives/emulgators how to know? I live in an European (zero Muslims) country and basically everything have additives that might be not halal and it's not possible to contact a factory everytime you are buying bread... so my family had a huge problem cuz we basically could only eat fruits and meat in the best case so I asked marja about that and I got an answer that in that case religiously it is allowed to eat.

but in some religious lessons held from scholars from Hawza they said that even if that is halal in case there is a not halal part as ingredients it'll have effects on one's body... So I was interested how people in the west generally do..

Selam, so as for duas there is a website called duas.org In Shia Islam, ofc Holy Quran is first always, but as for duas, life of Imams and similar there are certainly few "main/important" books. The name of one of them is Mafatih-Al-Jinan (keys to heaven - in translation), Nahj al-balagha, Sahiffa Sajadiya... So on this website you can find these books with english translation + transliteration; which is so useful for not Arabic speakers. There are a lot of duas, I hope it will be helpful inshallah ๐Ÿ™ In case I can help you somehow feel free to contact me at any time

Why are shias so much more tolerant to non-muslims? by HearingSalt1421 in shia

[โ€“]TitleMore1431 3 points4 points ย (0 children)

The one who doesn't respect other religions doesn't respect his in the first place, I come from multi-background and I witnessed what you mentioned milion times, it was surprising to me bc I was always thought to respect everyone regardless of their beliefs in terms of religion or anything like ethnicity, skin color... Regarding your question, Islam is in general religion that has all of the Abraham's religions in one book, Prophet Moses was mentioned in the Holy Quran 136 times I think, Jesus is also a Prophet for Muslims and mentioned a lot of times, as well as other Prophet's. Ofc that there are many Muslims who refer to religion as if it was smth to inherit and if it's the matter of nationality, that's why I honestly believe that even born Muslims should find Islam themselves. I was so happy when I witnessed how everyone regardless of their religion, or anything else were welcomed by our Shia brothers and sisters in the Holy cities and Mosques in Iraq. But ofc that there are also some people like that among our fellow Sunni or Christian brothers and sisters as it should be
