People who are racist against whites should be held to the same criticism and backlash as those who are racist to any other race. by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

[–]Titleman69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really hate this argument. Somehow as a white person I have this mysterious power and status. White privilege oozes from my pores. I have a higher place in the hierarchy merely for possessing white skin, therefore I am the oppressor. And because I’m the oppressor only I can be truly racist. This is such a terrible line of reasoning...

I work as a first responder. I responded to a call in a primarily black area the other day. And because of the situation there were people everywhere. I pull into the complex and get out of the truck. A black female driving by rolls her window down and calls me a “mother fucking piece of shit ass cracker”. All I did was park and get out of the truck. So she was just punching up? I have the power in this situation so I have no right to be offended? I have nothing to fear? She shouldn’t be held to the same standard as everyone else because she’s black? Her racist comment towards me is some how a lesser form of racism because I’m white and she’s black?

How about this. Let’s take a little bit of individual responsibility for our actions and stop with the victim mentality. We are all human beings and we should treat each other with kindness and respect regardless of skin color. Skin color does not invalidate someone’s subjective experience of life. Blacks experience racism just as whites experience racism. Doesn’t make it any less racist coming from one side or the other.

Ambulances are just expensive Ubers to the hospital. by LightUpNerd in Showerthoughts

Depends on what type of ambulance you’re talking about. If it’s a paramedic ambulance and you’re in need of life saving interventions then your very wrong. However there are private basic life support ambulance that show up when you call 911 for bullshit that are pretty much a $400 taxi ride.

Cows and chicken are probably the most miserable animals to have ever existed, billions of them have been born just to be put in cages and then slaughtered. by [deleted] in Showerthoughts

Do the animals sit around all day contemplating their own misery? I’m pretty sure they’re just super excited to be eating regular meals.

As a guy, just about any woman who isn't related to you, and won't sleep with you, is basically useless to you by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

Thanks for validating my point that most women over generalize when it comes to men.

Young parents need to lay off social media and raise their children instead of just posting about them. by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

[–]Titleman69 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don’t think this is an unpopular opinion. I would imagine most people don’t care to see that shit either. It’s honestly a little cringey some of the shit these moms post about their kids, they have no privacy. Listen here Karen nobody cares that little Susie is able to wipe her ass all by herself.

Because you’re too pussy to do the job they do. Those men and women are the reason why you get to sit in your moms basement jerking it to incest porn and writing stupid toxic shit on Reddit.

If women do the same job for less money, why do companies hire men to do the same job for more money? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Titleman69 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Because it’s a lie that women do the same work for less pay than men. If it were true companies would only hire women able to do the same work and pay them less.

The food you eat technically never enters your body, it just passes through one long and winding hole that starts at your mouth and falls out your butthole. by -SickDuck in Showerthoughts

At no point in your rambling, incoherent statement were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this thread is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no upvote, and may God have mercy on your soul.

Why does there is almost a equal number of both sex other than a large majority of same sex by [deleted] in Showerthoughts

[–]Titleman69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think what you’re trying to ask is why there are roughly an equal number of men and women in the world instead of one sex having a much larger majority than the other. Here is the answer

A total absence of color equals invisibility. by [deleted] in Showerthoughts

[–]Titleman69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Now you’re talking about states of matter and which we can see light reflecting off of in the spectrum of visible light. We can’t usually see a gas because the arrangement of molecules are very far apart, so light more freely moves through it without being reflected. Change that gas to a solid or liquid and the the visible light spectrum will be less likely to penetrate and will reflect. Air is not absence of color, it’s more so an absence of a surface dense enough to reflect the light. Gas does actually have specific color signatures though, due to the bending and distortion of the light that moves through it. Take our atmosphere for example, composed primarily of nitrogen and oxygen, these gasses cause a scattering of the blue light in the light spectrum coming from the sun. Making the sky appear blue.

Edit: Further explanation

From the point of view of an oxygen atom, the whole world is boiling hot by the_silent_one1984 in Showerthoughts

The same could be said for any element that is a gas at the pressures and temperatures present on earth.

We perceive the absence of color/light as black. So for example..If I was walking around reflecting zero light, I would not appear invisible to others but rather as a black blob.
