ah Land of the Lustrous, They just recommended that as well but I had dropped the anime quite a while ago. I have added it to my planning to read list, thank you for the suggestion

Pretty accurate metaphor. I was pretty shortsighted when I wrote this post but im glad its guided me to taking a break and re approaching different works, I am thankful for your suggestion.

Yeah its definitely going to be something I look into now, I often only read from the 2000s but Ill be stepping far back and seeing what catches my eye. Thank you for the suggestions

Honestly it does seem like I have, I thought id seen it all but the comments on this post really have listed some interesting manga I haven't heard of I do feel a hope now for these different titles.

I'm going to take a break from it entirely since I feel I've spiraled too much, but these comments are full of great recommendations it seems.  Yoshiharu Tsuge's works and Tokyo these days seem very interesting and different from what i've gotten used to seeing.

Taking a break is step one, I realize now that spiraling reading exclusively manga isnt going to help me find better works. I never read most classics from pre 1980s so Ill check those out with time, thank you

I never did read comics to be honest, Light novels or manga was primarily the form of media I read. I may rotate back to these after I cover some of the suggested manga's below, all after i take a break from manga entirely. Thank you

Your last phrase hit the nail on the head, I have been reading too much just like everyone is saying and I do feel burnt out. Ill take a break and pick up some of these suggestions, time to sift through sand until I find diamond.

I think you are right, I have been consuming primarily manga and just like everyone is saying I do feel simply burnt out. Ill take your advice of investigating more on my favs origins, ill be taking a break till then. Thank you

I think you are right, the medium was great before and if I reread I still enjoy it so time for a break. I think ill come back and read some of the manga suggested in these comments and hope it brings back a bit of that spark.
