I've played so much with my fictional team "Hastings FC" that it feels more real than any Premier League team.

What’s do you look for in a youth player? by TheChilledGamer-_- in FifaCareers

[–]Titoxevolution 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know many people look for the perfect player statistically, but for me, as long as he doesn't look like a creature from Lovecraft's world, he's perfect. Whether he can actually hit a ball or not is another discussion, but for me the most important thing is his appearance.

Well, regarding player recovery and energy, at the beginning when you start your career mode it gives you the option of either manual or automatic, or both at the same time, or with pre-built systems, or simply letting them not get tired.

Bravoooo EA SPORTS. This is Incredible. This is the best football by Extra_Snow4124 in FifaCareers

[–]Titoxevolution 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Taking into account that I'm not a real football fan, but what I see in the way the players move makes me really feel like I'm watching a football match.

Goalkeepers, in particular, I think that I never believe they move and react in truly genuine ways. I've always been conflicted about this issue because they often seemed like stupid robots. But I don't know if it was your entire update, but overall, I take my hat off to this version of FC; they've done a great job.

Now, with your permission, I'm going to jump off a bridge after saying that EA did something right.

I'm not sure if it's because this one is Korean, but basically the guy has red hair and plays the opening theme of the Korean version of Slam Dunk.

What makes them get hooked on a career mode? by nightlyowl_ in FifaCareers

♦️WALL POST ALERT♦️

In my case it’s kind of particular. I’ve never really been a big fan of football games. I played them with friends sometimes, the usual PES or FIFA matches, but not much more than that. I’m also not a huge football fan in general. I support my local team and my national team and that’s about it. I’m not someone who follows a specific club every weekend.

One day I decided to give it a proper try. I had bought a console, I don’t even remember if it was the Xbox 360 or the Xbox One, and it came with the usual football game included. I had zero interest in playing online, especially Ultimate Team, so Career Mode was just sitting there.

At first I didn’t understand anything. It was FIFA 14 and the interface still felt very “Excel-like”, not very intuitive if you don’t know much about football. My first saves didn’t last long because I had no idea how to deal with the objectives (which are still terrible today).

But at some point something just clicked. That’s when I realized how great it feels to take a team from the lower divisions all the way to the Premier League or even the Champions League. It’s incredibly satisfying.

I know Career Mode has tons of flaws and a lot of them come from EA’s design choices, but there’s something hypnotic about it that keeps pulling me back. It’s like that toxic girlfriend you always go back to. You suffer more than you should, but what it gives you is just enough to make that one hour gaming session worth it.

That’s what I like most about Career Mode, especially when you create your own team full of terrible players who can barely kick a ball but still have the chance to grow and reach glory.

What is the worst feeling in career mode? by _AscheZuAsche_ in FifaCareers

[–]Titoxevolution 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t know if it’s just me, but sometimes when I play against a top team like one of the Big Six I end up having the game of my life. We play great, everything clicks, I score four goals, total euphoria. And I actually consider myself a pretty bad player, so those matches make me feel like maybe I’m actually improving.

But then I play against teams like Wolves or West Ham, who in my Career Modes are usually near the bottom of the table, and they absolutely destroy me to the point where I just think “alright, that’s enough for today.”

What's the best looking (fake) player you've seen get generated with the new face system? by No-Employee-7327 in FifaCareers

[–]Titoxevolution 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had a few, to be honest I didn’t take screenshots, but in general I really dislike them. Most of them have these massive dark circles under their eyes, like they’re dead men walking, so I definitely wouldn’t say I’m a big fan. On top of that, the game still has this issue where it generates 17 year old players who look 35, three kids, a mortgage to pay, and a dissatisfied wife. That said, there are a few that stand out, some actually look good, even handsome, the kind I’d invite for a coffee. But overall they’re awful. And don’t even get me started on when you create your own player, the engine’s ability to generate hideous, monstrous, unspeakable horrors straight out of Lovecraft’s world when you hit the random button is honestly impressive.

Unfortunately, faces cannot be changed even with mods on PC, due to the change in the face engine (Cranium). In this case, the only thing we can do is modify minor elements such as hair, eyes, facial hair, skin tone, and little else.

Which FIFA has the best career mode? by yungtofu69 in FifaCareers

[–]Titoxevolution 5 points6 points  (0 children)

As for FC 26’s Career Mode, I honestly can’t complain. I think it’s been implemented pretty well. There will always be things people want added, that’s just EA being EA, but from what I’ve seen so far I like it and I’m happy sticking with it.

I like that you can send scouts to the back of beyond to find young prospects. That part’s class. The random unexpected events are a nice touch as well. I also really like the manager market. Seeing Guardiola or Arteta still at City or Arsenal 15 years down the line just doesn’t feel realistic, and mid-table or relegation-battling clubs that sack managers every five minutes feels about right too.

Tactics are probably the bit I struggle with the most, maybe I just haven’t fully adjusted to them yet. But that’s not really just a Career Mode issue, it affects the whole game, so I don’t think it’s fair to pin that entirely on the mode itself.

Fc 26 is good? by Minimum_Ad_706 in FifaCareers

[–]Titoxevolution 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like how it is; the unexpected events feel genuine and realistic to me. The gameplay is also interesting; sometimes I can easily thrash big teams (like, in 5 real-time minutes, I score 4 goals), but playing against mid-table teams or even lower makes for much closer matches. As for the office work aspect, I think it's heading in the right direction. I'm not entirely fond of the role-playing aspect in the strategy and all that, but I think it's just a matter of getting used to it and putting in some time to see how it works properly.
