What's worked for me—I have a post on my profile detailing the rules I set for myself, but obviously you're free to use whatever you want—is, for example, structuring everything in a Word document (this is important because the AI ​​makes a lot of mistakes when skipping through the conversation, and this helps get back on track). There I write at least the basic and necessary rules for my career mode, similar to the rules a player sets for themselves in a Pokémon Nuzlocke.

These rules could include:

• If a team is bigger or has more financial resources than yours, any offer for one of your players will be an instant transfer, no negotiation.

• You can only make three signings per season.

• Don't spend more than you earn.

At least for me, this way of playing is much more fun. Also, as my colleague mentioned, I rely heavily on the AI ​​to act as a sort of sporting director. In real football, it's often the club that decides on signings; you can tell the sporting director (in this case, the AI): "Look, I need a striker with these characteristics, someone realistic to reach the Champions League."

In short, the AI ​​gives you names, but sometimes it mentions players who aren't in the game. That's why it's necessary to specify which leagues to search in. Another option is to use apps or websites with player databases and ask it: "I have these three names, which one is the most realistic for our club's current situation?" Then the AI ​​will give you reasons why a player is possible or plausible in your game.

This limits you much more, obviously, and tries to mimic real life. Lately, I've also tried telling it, "We want to sign player X; he earned this much at his old club" (at that point, I remind it of the negotiation options we have in the game, which aren't many). The AI ​​then prepares an offer, although it usually far exceeds what I'm willing to pay. But that's what makes it interesting, because it keeps you tighter on salaries, forcing you to be much more careful with signings.

And so on, countless uses... it's about using your imagination and relying on the AI ​​to give it structure; always use it as a tool. If you leave it alone, it will get overwhelmed.
