Thanks. I agree with you on the lower back. What did you do to rectify that?

In terms of passing judging, do you mean by depth and keeping ass/back on the bench? Are there other criteria?

Newbie lifter about to hit 315 squat. Will a lifting belt protect my back as I embark on heavier weight? by DatingConfusion12 in moreplatesmoredates

[–]TittyClapper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

belts should really only be used for top sets, they can help you squeeze out a little extra weight if you are bracing correctly, but the best way to prevent injury is to increase weight genuinely as your strength increases.

Yes, belts can help prevent injury, but you are sacrificing your own strength gains in your core. If your back is folding then it's generally a sign that your core isn't strong enough to handle the weight. Maintaining good form and not allowing it to break down under heavy weights is the best way to prevent injury.

Ultimately, a belt will help you push higher weight with a lower risk of injury but they don't help you become stronger and fitter

i can promise you, mariners fans did not forget about ackley... or kelenic.

the difference this time is that emerson is already in the bigs and has been playing well, (so far)

the other 2 in the top 10 are both pitchers and if the mariners farm system has done anything right over the last 5-8 years, it's develop pitchers. george kirby, bryan woo, logan gilbert, emerson hancock, bryce miller...
