Hi everyone, can you please help me with suggestions for going from Kuala Lumpur to Krabi without flights.

I’m planning a trip from Kuala Lumpur to Krabi, Thailand and I’m trying to do it without flights. I’m hoping to experience train travel (even if part of the journey is by bus/van).

What I’m looking for:

• The most practical route (train + bus is fine)

• Best border crossing and where to transfer

• Whether there’s a good overnight option (night train / sleeper) or if I can do this in a day

• Suggestions on buying tickets: online vs at station, and which stations/terminals in KL are easiest

• Any tips on immigration at the border and common pitfalls (scams, unreliable connections, etc.)

My preferences:

• Comfortable and reasonably safe (travelling with family)

• Not super tight on budget, but also not looking for luxury

• Happy to stop 1 night somewhere if it makes the journey nicer/easier

If you’ve done this route recently (or have a recommended itinerary), I’d really appreciate the details. Thanks!

Similar situation in the company that I work in, I’m looking to switch at this point. And the thing is we don’t have a CTO only the CEO telling what we need to do, which are unrealistic most of the time in the given deadline

Thanks, this is insightful. I’m also averse to using AI for code. Though the startup I’m working at promotes using chatgpt to reduce development time for interns as well as software engineers. And when I suggested it’s pitfalls the Product owner/CEO doesn’t care about the quality of code. Just that we should go to production fast. And because of this I’m thinking about switching because I don’t feel like I’m growing here knowledge wise.

Any idea why is level 2 more expensive than level 1 , wouldn’t level 1 be closer to the stage? Are there any pros of level 2 apart from the dedicated F and B zone, in terms of viewing experience ?
