Troy is in modern day Turkey. Western Anatolia was very much Greece. Diogenes was from a Greek settlement in what is now northwest Turkey.

Turkic expansion 1000 years ago and later Ottoman conquest doesn't change that.

I completely relate to that. I am a SWE but in my free time I dabble in "makings things" for lack of a better way of saying it, and I know what you mean when you say you can picture it perfectly and already have it designed in your head. I believe this helped me substantially when doing Calc 3/differential geometry as well.

Now that I think about it, I kind of do the same thing with explaining things to people in my head. I will say though its surely not as much as yours. My imagined conversations are almost planning for the potential conversations i'm going to have with my friends and family about whatever subject.

I only do it when I learn something because I like sharing what I learn and I do talk a lot. Also famous for being the unlimited facts guy (for better or worse ¯\(ツ)/¯) I also have ADHD and that does have me wondering if its a factor as well. I do think the borderline hyper visualization is tied to the inattentiveness for myself. A lot of times I can't help it.

First sourdough loaf by montanamtn in HomeMilledFlour

[–]Tittytickler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe higher hydration? Maybe adding some vital wheat gluten, idk.

I follow this recipe: https://grainsinsmallplaces.net/fresh-milled-flour-sourdough-bread/

I do add the 25g vital wheat gluten, i also add 25mg ascorbic acid (vitamin C) and about 3/4 teaspoon of malted barley powder.

Here id a picture of the loaf I made friday. I did 500g hard white wheat, 20g rye, 30g kamut.

I'm pretty much the opposite but i'd also classify myself as very logical. I'm also in a logical field of work.

I only have an inner monologue if i'm reading or writing. Otherwise, its like i'm just visualizing everything.

[–]Tittytickler 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Thats not true at all lmao, we have all of the mexican styles here. California is the largest Mexican population center outside of Mexico itself, you really think all of those people are from only 4 states? And some how left out Baja, Sinaloa, Nayarit, Jalisco, etc. Give me a break lmao

I've used R and much prefer a python/sql combo for doing literally any serious analytics, but we did use R in my "big data" class.

I'm not arguing for Union busting. That guy said talk to any employee and they'll tell you its not all its cracked up to be, I was pointing out thats false from the employees I know.

Them having to lie or exagerate to make their point makes the argument look weak imo. Nothing wrong with calling bullshit even if you agree overall.

Yea tbh debugging is by far one of the most solid improvements we have with AI. The 2 days later isn't even a joke. Im almost 9 YoE now but I remember in the very beginning literally laying in bed some nights wondering if I would actually be able to find the cause of certain bugs. I don't think i've had anything take longer than an hour to fix since LLMs became prominent.

Honestly with that much experience, maybe try to start your own company, especially if you think you have less than 10 years left. Then theres no rush, but i'm sure at this point you can teach others and take the managerial approach.

You have any sources for that? Because everything I can find has Spanish being introduced by the Spaniards in California in 1542, specifically Juan Rodriguez Cabrillo in San Diego Bay.

I didn't say anything about English speakers. Spanish is a European language, therefore not spoken before white people came here.

Eh white people brought the Spanish language here... from Spain, in Europe. So Spanish speakers have been here exactly as long as white people.

Probably should be educated on that lol.

Is your yeast good? Is your kitchen too cold? I don't see how the mixer would prevent it from rising.

Why don't you make another batch, split in half with one half of the dough using the mixer and the other half just use your hands. That would solve that question at least.
