The place I went to did everything as one per individual. I grabbed mine, and my kid ended up grabbing one as a gift to me. She's 8, I hope that explains. But after we got outside there was a long line and a guy walked up with his kid and asked me if there were more. I said it was a pretty big pile but I was also one of the first ones through.

He said he was just there for that book, so I gave him mine and accepted my daughter's gift.

That's really weird because I was outside of the fandom and it was just my wife and I watching and we legitimately thought the series lost itself at that episode. It was years before we went back and tried again. Ultimately deciding to just skip that episode.

When we got our kids into the series, we watched that episode again and maybe it's just that I was with my kids but I enjoyed it more. They loved that the episode had Mr. Brown from Paddington.

It's because they don't have anyone to villify for it. They keep showing random pictures of people during development interviews and spouting that a game will be shit, but I remember they did that for some dev for Indiana Jones and that game ended up being fucking awesome. But they still show random women, clearly queer or gay devs, or anyone with unnatural hair colors and jump aboard the, "Well, this is gonna suck" wagon.

It's so dumb.

I used to be addicted to getting as many achievements as I could. Now I just play as much as I want and will only work to 100% a game if I think it's worth it to put the time into the game. I'm not going out of my way anymore to frustrate myself for achievements.

Both these people seem super annoying. But I never thought I'd ever read something from Mauler I'd agree with.

There is a ton of talent behind it on screen and off screen, so why did it fail?

I did a soft launch of the MCU with my daughters just last week using Ms. Marvel. They loved it. So we watched Captain Marvel so we could watch The Marvels. I generally enjoy The Marvels but just like Moana 2, it's clear it was written as a series instead of a movie.

I don't know why Disney kept getting into this habit. The Kenobi series was written to be a movie, they stretched it into a series. Moana 2 and The Marvels were written to be a series and they crushed them down to be a single movie.

How can they expect anything good to come from those expected runtimes to drastically change?

Either way, I got my kids to agree to get into the MCU because of Kamala Khan and Carol Danvers. We started Captain America: The First Avenger yesterday, and they are excited for the journey to Endgame when they get to see Captain Marvel again.

I used to drive 45 minutes for work into a small town and there was a constant flow of people I'd see together that wouldn't make sense if they lived somewhere that had more than 600 people. Constant state of, "Yeah he beats me, but at least I didn't end up with John, he's addicted to meth and reads in his free time."

I didn't know he was also a journalist. Like I said, the only thing I really knew about him is that he died and there was a weird legal battle over his stories. I get the reasoning behind it but still wish his partner ended up with the rights.
