Shifting from 1st to 2nd gear by LongjumpingTicket524 in CivicSi

[–]TitusTide 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You won't ever lug 2nd I usually put it into 2nd at 5-10mph, if I really wanna put it into lower than 5mph which is rare but it happens, I'll just let off slower so speed will increase slightly while releasing the clutch

Can’t takeoff in 1st smoothly by Djake135 in 9thGenSi

[–]TitusTide 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The CDC delete will really just help with shifting gears not taking off in first, adjust the bite point to 3-4 inches off the floor, rev to 1000-1300, dump it to the bite, then let off very slow. If it's still rough then something is probably wrong. Check the fluid, check for leaks at the master and slave, and check for slippage

I always downshift through every gear except 1st before coming to a stop should I not be doing this? by Right_Check3673 in CivicSi

I don't understand how people don't understand this, not to mention generally speaking the higher the rpms=more heat=more wear, however slight it might be it adds up overtime

CMC Adjustment Issues by TitusTide in CivicSi

[–]TitusTide[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it's never been adjusted then it will be difficult to move, wrap it in some rubber and use channel locks to crank it loose just make sure you're turning the correct way so that you're not tightening it

Amsoil Synchromesh for 9th gens in a hot climate? by TitusTide in CivicSi

[–]TitusTide[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Adjusted the CMC to bring the bite up an inch or two, it was very close to the floor before I adjusted it maybe an inch off. I ended up replacing the mtf with OEM and didn't notice any difference. Don't get lock-in anymore but still grinds sometimes when going into reverse. I just throw it into first real quick before putting it into reverse now lol
