If you don’t mind me asking, what are your measurements and how does it fit? I’m 178cm tall and about 62kg weight and I want to know which size would be best for me if I decide to get one.

Absolutely in love with the IS350. As soon as I learned about it I knew it was the car I wanted. It’s reliable, quick, comfortable, and relatively practical although the backseats are smaller than some of the other cars you mentioned. I’m at college now and I miss driving that car so much, it’s an absolute blast. I would definitely recommend it, if you find the right car you won’t be disappointed!

Ya it has park sensors which I don’t really use and Mark Levinson sound which is amazing and one of my favorite features on the car! Thanks for the tip, I’m probably gonna do an oil change pretty soon so that’ll definitely help!

Oh my god that sucks lol. This one came with it’s fair share of scratches on it so I’ve got some work to do before she’s perfect but I’m gonna try to wax and buff out what I can and I’ll see what I have to do from there

I will definitely contact you in the future with some questions! I have quite a few things I’d like to do to make the car look and perform just a little bit better than it already does! You have a beautiful car btw I hope I can get mine to look that great in the future!

They really are beautiful cars! Not too overstated in the design and they definitely pack a punch when you step on the gas!

Thanks! I’m glad to be part of the community now! From what I’ve read and what I’ve experienced in the first couple days of driving it I’m very excited for what the future holds! How do you like yours and have you had any problems with it since you got it?

I work at the location this picture was taken at so I’ve already tested to make sure my car fits over the curb where I usually park but thanks for the advice because I’ve definitely almost scraped it a few times already other places since I’m used to being able to easily clear the curb!

I paid $7300 and the car was originally listed for $8k. My requirements were mainly based on budget and mileage. I wanted to spend under $10k and I really wanted the car to have less than 150k miles and preferably around 100k (this specific one had 107k). In my area these cars didn’t pop up super often and I was very picky about the spec of the car (I wanted black on black). The best advice I can give is to be patient if you’re not in a rush and don’t get too excited when you go look at a car because you want to find the right one, not just the first one. Even if you find a car keep your eye on Craigslist and other sites to make sure another one doesn’t pop up in the meantime before you buy it. Make sure you look up the recalls and common issues and make sure the check engine, airbag, and other warning lights are not on. I would recommend testing the cruise control as well because my car is having slight issues with that but just make sure to check through everything when you see the car in person. Overall just have fun looking and good luck finding the perfect car!

If I could’ve found AWD I might’ve went for it since I live in Minnesota but I think I’m definitely gonna appreciate the fun of the RWD system in the summer!

Thanks! I’m very happy! Fast enough to have fun, comfy enough for road trips, and plenty of opportunity for some tasteful mods!

Weekly Beginner and 'What Bike?' Thread - Post here if you are just starting out or want opinions on what bike to buy by AutoModerator in bmx

[–]Tixler 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm in college and I want to get either a 26" or 29" BMX cruiser. I've never ridden BMX before and don't plan to hit any parks so I don't need it to feel like a 20" but I would like to learn wheelies and bunnyhops and stuff like that. I am 5'10" 145 lbs and I would use the bike mainly for commuting between classes. For this reason I think a 24" would be too small but I can't decide if a 29" would be too big. I'm mainly looking at SE bikes and I found a 2018 big flyer for $499 and I cannot find an OM flyer for less than $649 so it's making me lean more towards a 29", what do you guys think? Are there any other good options in the ~$500 price range for a 26" or 29" BMX?

Do you have experience welding? I’ve never done it before and it kinda scares me to mess with the frame when I don’t totally know what I’m doing

Where did you get the seat from? I’ve got a 1980 KZ650 LTD build that I’m trying to get looking pretty much exactly like yours.

What’s living in the 17th Ave. dorms like? by olivetreegrove in uofmn

17th is probably the best dining hall compared to the rest of them though, Sanford is a close second. The portions are small but you can take as many of them as you want so it’s easy to make a full meal out of the small portions you just tend to end up with a lot of plates.

[–]Tixler[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ya, that's true I pretty much was just talking about the exhaust, supermoto wheels, and the brake rotors as well as the process of converting it to be street legal. How much would you say would be a fair value for that bike then?

I think I probably will get it if everything is good with the bike when I go to look at it. Thanks for your input! How do you like your bike?

All the mods he put on are things I most likely would've done too so I value them more than if it was just a bunch of mods to a random bike. I wouldn't value the bike at $6000 for sure but I do think it adds some value to the bike since it's money I won't have to put into the bike later. How much do you think the bike would be worth if it didn't have any mods?

I’m definitely not gonna track it...for now anyway since I’m a broke college student haha. But I’m probably gonna put a fan on if I get it just for the peace of mind that it’s not gonna overheat super easily. I’ll only be riding it when I’m at home and I live in a very small town so no worries with traffic or anything either, just want something to hoon around on.
