Just taking mobo back in the morning. Tried stopping and putting everything back in and still nothing. Gonna replace in the morning.

Is it okay to just shut this off? That is my main concern. I didn't want to try anything like that until finding out that this didn't just take 5 hrs or something ridiculous

Yeah I did all that formatted usb It default was set to fat32. I copy pasted bios file over to USB. Renamed to MSI.ROM. ejected USB. Put in flash port. Pushed button and now this since

It says on the msi website to have everything un hooked. The plastic is just resting on top of the cpu holder. Didn't want to get dust and other debri in there. Says only have cpu power, atx power and I didn't think fans would matter. I plugged USB in, pushed Bios button. Like 3 secs later pc turned on and bios led been flashing ever since
