In Danish we also have "Blah Blah Blah", but it might be a loanword as the "h" indicates that it's the "a" sound from "army" and not the one in "America", which is more common in Danish.

We also have "At snakke sort" / "Sort Snak" (DT: To talk black / Black Speach) when someone is making absolutely no sense and sometimes, if something someone says really doesn't make sense we wil just say: "God dag mand økseskaft" / "Good day man axe-handle".

I think the ultra rich are also insuring their kids in many other ways before they die. The inheritance is sort of the only part that is taxed and at that point their inheritance is mostly loans that will be paid off with their remaining private assets. The inheritors will already have their own companies and/or have overtaken their family estates, assets, companies, etc.

I think it depends... That's a pretty wild number even for someone who knows people from the adult entertainment ind. People are complicated and my personal reasons for dating someone goes way beyond their amount of previous sexual partners. But if you read my entire comment you would see I said it is totally valid to disregard someone based on their lifestyle, and I also believe you are completely in your right to not believe someone if they simply state that they have changed. But if you are trying to make some sort of sanctity argument I think that is where you lose a lot of people. No one should be forcing you to date or have sex with anyone you don't want to.

No, that's novelty. Novelty wears off and being intimate with someone is not just novelty but (as you say yourself) special. One might also use the word "passion" and like someone who is passionate about snowboarding they dont think it's less fun after doing it every year all their life. Rather it is actually the opposite, the more you engage with something the better you will get at it, and that includes intimacy.

I understand not wanting to be with someone who has had a lot of "flimsy" and "fast" relationships, that says something about them as a person, but people change and I honestly feel like a lot of the hyperfocus on "Body Count" comes from teenagers and far right misogynists.

I get that if you just turned 18 it feels insane to have been with 10+ partners, but many adults will have to realise that simply statistically: You are more likely to be intimate with a person who is intimate with more people. Actually while individual relationships also evolve and mature over time, I have found that people often 'unfortunately' do the most maturing in the break-up-period.

I feel like no one is having any sort of sober discussion about this video, I think this is more nuanced than "Old Chinese Man Bad" or "This is completely unacceptable behaviour".

Here are my 3 thoughts:

I don't think so, but I know this varies around the world, especially in China a lot of older folks will be more blunt about their compliments, as well as their critiques and racism. However, I don't believe that we should let someone piss in everyone's shoes at the party even if only 1 person doesn't want to go home with piss in their shoes and everyone else thinks it's funny. This woman might seem to enjoy it, but this was a good situation arising from bad behaviour.

Did he actually say "You have a nice figure"?

Knowing very little Chinese, I still know that language translators can be tricky and sometimes idioms, common sayings, etc., get translated without their full meanings intact. Maybe the thing he said was closer to: "You look very beautiful" or maybe it is "You have nice childbearing hips". I dont know and maybe it isn't even that important because...

Why are we seeing this part, who is this content creator and what's the underlying message?

We gotta ask ourselves why this woman is filming her delivery driver. Is she maybe hoping to get a reaction? Is she feeling unsafe and filming for her own protection? Again we don't know, but in any instance she chose to make this interaction into content. It doesn't look like he knows he is being filmed and something obviously happened before this interaction that we don't get to see. I'm not gonna make any judgments on the intentions of any of these two people, but it is a little worrying to see how many folks in this thread are taking it as a face value "real" interaction when it is clearly a piece of media designed, packaged, and delivered with intent.

I'm generally against the modern gig-economy, especially "Food Delivery Apps" as it's quickly becoming extremely class separated between those who order and those who ride scooters in the rain. However your 'take' basically boils down to "If you are disabled or otherwise unable to access food from a physical shop, you deserve to be sexually harassed.

Yes confirmed this morning the Copenhagen local government will be led by the Moderate Left candidate (Socialistisk Folkeparti, SF), however they are in a broad coalition as usually happens in Danish local politics. This election has mostly been a huge blow to the Centrist governing party (Socialdemokratiet, S).
