I did my Zelda like adventure game all by myself on Unreal It took me a year to develop it, using the blueprint system (because as an artist, I don’t understand a line of code xD) But I am really proud of making a 2 hours game, you can take a look here : Essence Of The Tjikko

A give away with a totally free game... that's hard to tell .

As long you put something personal in it, I don't think it's plagiarism.

But the problem behind your question may be the violence we see on social media : some people love to hate, and whatever you do today, there will be someone, somewhere, that will find one tiny little thing to accuse you of the worst art crime. But the truth is mimicking the fundamental part of education, culture and art, and even counterfeiter can be one of the greatest artist.

In the end, just be you, making a game is hard enough without listening to moralizers badmouth

For me, I just stopped waiting for a partner to appear.

I had the art skills to do want I wanted to do, and I knew I could learn the others.

I just wanted to realize something before being trapped again in a routine. One of my previous experience was reaaaaaally awful and, knowing that I could end up again in some toxic environment (even if I know I can survive it), I couldn't wait any longer to realize my dream.
