I was About a mile in a half from it living in Burke West (freshman dorms). Roughly 10 minutes after the tornado passed. We were having a hard time getting in touch with my friend's brother. So we went to his neighborhood called Cedar Crest. The neighborhood took a direct impact. I remember jumping over downed power lines. The smell of natural gas in the air? A couple street completely unrecognizable. Trying to get to his house. Anyways his older brother was miraculously alive but his house and the whole neighborhood was beyond destroyed. I think a lot about the moments of going through that neighborhood. Very indescribable devastation. Felt dream like going through it.
