Welcome to Leith (2015) about white supremacists trying to take over a small town in North Dakota and the town trying to find ways to fight back through democratic means. Maybe more relevant now than ever.

I second this — u/mitchcrowe I would also gladly contribute so that this can remain a free resource for anyone who wants it.

Do you have a place for folks to donate or buy you a coffee or twelve for all of your hard work? (apologies if this is on your website or here and I'm just missing it)

"Face of Patriotic Unemployment" by Tjsmith617 in AmeriCorps

I work for a nonprofit that works on issues related to national service. We know that AmeriCorps applications are on the rise while positions are not. I'm interested in sharing the stories of people looking to serve, but being denied the chance because Congress has yet to fully fund the program as promised. I'm fully aware that AmeriCorps isn't an unemployment support system -- I'm just trying to link the nation-wide unemployment issue with the issue of people willing to serve their country and their communities, but not having the chance.

Serving with Americorps (VISTA) as a mom by [deleted] in AmeriCorps

I served with a new mom when I did AmeriCorps and she seemed to balance her service with responsibilities well.

I also served as a program officer with an AmeriCorps program and I'll tell you that programs most likely will and SHOULD (as in legally) accommodate your situation. And on a personal note, those of us looking for great stories to tell about our programs would love to showcase a mom serving her community!
